Well not just senpai but stuff like sugoi, kakkoii, kawaii etc which you can't even go 5 minutes without hearing in most anime.

I'm not sure about kakkoii but both times I went to Tokyo I heard people say sugoi everywhere. It became a joke for me and my girlfriend. You'll hear kawaii a lot too but why wouldn't you? It means cute so when something's cute, say at the aquarium or zoo, a cacophony of kawaiis accompanies it.
