Next time remember to hate whichever character you want to appear on the title, their chance will be much higher.

My package shipped; will be really surprised if it makes its estimated delivery tomorrow. Seems like it went out later than usual.
Downloaded the Vita version last night. The game was over 3 GB and had an additional 500 MB update file included in the queue. Checked it this morning and when I tried updating the game, another 700+ MB patch was available. Hopefully I can try the game before I get a chance to download that update.

I got my authorization notification over night from Play Asia.
I'm not at my desk or I'd link it, but it's in the Comm OT a couple times.
OK, was able to try the game without the huge day one patch. The Vita version appears to be native-res and is running at 30 FPS. It's not a constant 30 FPS but the framerate was pretty stable for the little I got to try. The patch might make things a bit smoother, so I need to reserve judgment until then. Obviously the PS4 version is going to be the version to play and I'll likely be spending most of my play time on it -unless there's no cross-save option...will check to see if that's available when I get the chance- but it looks pretty impressive on the small screen, too. Definitely an improvement over Shinovi Versus. There's more enemies on screen and more detail. When you do super moves, they take place directly on the stages instead of changing to a generic background with rocks like in the previous games. Supers are cinematic like Shinovi Versus and not super-quick like in Senran Kagura 2. The transformation sequences are even more NSFW than ever before, lol.

SK2 takes place right around after Burst ends, so Yumi and everyone else from Shinovi Versus aren't even introduced yet.
About the same or maybe just slightly longer than SV. I want to wait to see what the patch does before timing it.

Does Shinovi Versus actually establish that the characters aren't familiar with yoma? I mean, Orochi himself from Burst is considered to be one, although I don't remember whether or not the term is used in that game.

I don't think the term Yoma was ever used in burst, and I think Asuka's group and Homura had to get Yoma explained to them in Versus
Haha, okay. I've not played Shinovi Versus, but to me that does seem like they kind of rewrote the story a bit to accommodate SK2.
As for the games on Nintendo and PlayStation, I personally look at them similarly too.

As much hate as Minori and Hibari get, I like both of them. Probably #4 and 5 respectfully. Long live Katsu, Yozakura and Ayame though.

Yes, I can confirm it's there. There's an option on the main menu and in a sub menu after you start the game to upload/download data.

A bit over 10 GB, IIRC.
I don't know about in-game, I.E. if there's a 'home base' where you select stuff, since I haven't been able to play any more than two tutorial stages. But you have the main menu with various options, then if you load up a game, there's another menu with more options and it's all very Japanese-heavy. I can try doing a quick translation job if no one else has by tonight.

Has anyone here ever used NCSX? That's where I ordered from. Still early in the day but... getting antsy that I still haven't been charged or seen shipment confirmation yet.
Used to use them all the time, but stopped when prices and shipping prices started increasing, plus they kept having shipment delays. NCS no longer uses UPS, IIRC, so if you want these games ASAP, it's much better to go with a HK retailer like Play-Asia and pay for Fedex or UPS. More often than not I get new releases from them on or the day after release...which is usually on the day that NCS gets their stock. They don't usually update their site until around noon BTW.

I might have to next time my only issue with that is that its a pain in the ass to get international orders to go through on my card with my bank. Trips the fraud alert nearly ever time.
I think they take Paypal. Might want to try that instead.
I used to have problems with purchases there, too, then when my Visa card company called me to verify, I asked them to put a note on my account authorizing purchases made from P-A. Haven't had a problem since.
Still has some dips but seems much more stable. As I have A) only played literally a few minutes of the game and B) not downloaded the large day one patch yet, I can't really comment further until I get home from work later today. Senran Kagura 2 on 3DS is definitely much smoother, however it also has less enemies on screen and less complex backgrounds/smaller stages.
PA at least auto-retries the card before dumping your order. I'll get an alert from them and the bank saying the purchase was refused, clear it with the bank, then PA will run it again automatically and no further interaction from me from then on out.

Hmmm Play Asia takes Paypal eh? Hmm well might be finally time to setup a Paypal account then. That seems like the most straightforward way to solve this issue.

I never use PA if I can avoid it. But I mostly use AmiAmi for figures and merch not games. Occasionally PA is the cheapest, but usually only if it's a sale. If it's not a new release, check Amazon and Ebay too. I bought from AmiAmi in this case.
Oki, thanks for the inital input. Someone on 4chan said the 1.02 patch made the game run better but i'll wait for potential extra input.
It's hard to decide if i want to get some hometown or the two dungeon crawlers on sale.
