I see Taker went back to the sleeveless jacket or has it just been a while?

It reminds me of the olden days when his character went through that change.

Honestly, its worth the extra 2-3 day wait to watch Smackdown on Hulu. I guess I just hate youtube quality when it comes to Smackdown. =p

If you go to the World Heavyweight Championship history page on WWE.com, his name is there but there is no profile about his victory, despite the fact that everyone else has a profile even people who no longer wrestle for the WWE anymore (like Angle).

everyone else who left the WWE didn't murder their wife and child. This pretty much goes with what Vince said they would do, they aren't pretending that he didn't exist (hence his name being on record) but they are also not going to promote him or do anything that might be seen as glorifying him in even the slightest way (hence no profile or details on his matches or any of his accomplishments)

I haven't watched wrestling in years and I haven't read through all of this thread or the previous wrestling threads but I just happened to turn on Smack Down and all I can think is WTF happened to Chris Jericho? He's put on some weight and he looks very lethargic in the ring. He just seems completely out of it.

I disagree with this approach completely.
I know this is only about wrestling, but history should always be recorded in tact as it happened whether it is wrestling or anything else.
On one hand, yes it could be seen by some as raising Benoit up, but on the other hand it can also show how far he fell.
The world is moving into such a pc mentality that soon every bit of history found in future generations will be edited and censored.

the WWE's website isn't meant as some record of history or a place to teach people life lessons. Its meant to promote their product and their ability to do that takes a hit if people get offended by the presence of a murderer or if there is even the slightest perception that they are trying to promote or glorify him. Yeah you and I know thats not the case but when it comes to promotion you have to deal with the lowest common denominator and make sure they are happy.

He is more interested on his rock band (Fozzy) than wrasslin'
They do some hard rock stuff, pretty nice.

Well, he is older so it goes without saying that he doesn't look as good physically. Jericho still puts on great matches and had an excellent feud with Mysterio earlier this year. He's definitely one of the best guys on any show's roster.

Jericho can still put on a damn good match. Keep in mind he did a tour in Puerto Rico where he clearly got roughed up a bit (big cut under the eye) and wrestled MVP the night before the Smackdown taping, so I don't think it's fair to judge him based off that match. His stuff with Rey was great and I think the PPV bout this sunday will be interesting.

Cool Morrison promo. :)

Mr. Ziggles biotches!

Wasn't he in the WWE encyclopedia? I don't get why people get so worked up over this. Benoit is a asshole.

They dont know what they are doing, they are inconsistant.

Like I said in the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania Special Edition magazine, he is never mentioned.

If you read the page about Wrestlemania XX, HBK isn't even mentioned. The only mention of the Main Event is "HHH loses World Title in world title match" in the "Results" box in the bottom corner.

I understand not showing the Celebration with Eddie, but they could have at least said "Chris Beniot Def. HHH and HBK in a Triple threat match to win the World Title" in the box scores.

I didn't throughly look through the mag, but I bet some of his other matches wern't even mentioned.

Some of you take this shit too seriously. It's all just promotion of fake fighting, not combat sport.

Ninja Scooter is right on. Everything they do is just to promote themselves, and you have to walk a careful balance when discussing guys that murdered their family. When your company's entire existence is based on promoting snake oil, it's hard to discuss a murderer in a legitimate context without it seeming like you're promoting murder.

Sometimes they promote a fight based on athletics or record-keeping ("he's a 6 time champion!" etc), but discussing those facts are only for the end purpose of promotion, not because anyone truly cares about wrestling history in a complete and legitimate manner. Maybe some nerds on the Internet care, but the rest of us just like seeing Punk come out and trash Meth Hardy.

How is that tear worthy? That was basically Michaels' BS excuse to not face Bret.

Anybody who thinks he really lost his smile has to be kidding themselves :lol

You STFU! Try wrestling w/o your smile and see how easy it is, asshat!

I would love a history of the WCW Championship DVD.

If nothing else. I would love to see snapshots of the 20 title changes in 2000.

Jesus.... Meth Hardy didn't waste ANY time getting his stupid fucking self arrested!

Breaking News: Jeff Hardy Arrested

According to an article on ThePilot.com, former WWE star Jeff Hardy was arrested for "trafficking in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids," and is currently in Moore County jail.

The report claims Hardy was arrested after a search of his residence revealed he was in possession of 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a "residual amount of powder cocaine" and drug paraphernalia items. The report notes that "Vicodin and anabolic steriods are Schedule III substances", while Soma is a non-controlled prescription pill.

The search was part of a joint investigation conducted by the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics and select enforcement units and the Fayetteville Police Department.

Watching last nights Smackdown, and seriously CM Punk cuts the best promos week after week. I was wondering what they'd do with 'Taker and him calling him out for his fake magic and other silliness was pretty great.

CM Punk was right on the money.
I think that the WWE saw it comming so they let him go.

So Kofi/Miz has been added to PPV for US Title, but Morrison/Ziggler which has had some type of story... isn't.

Go figure.

Tip set everything in motion...

A tip given to the Fayetteville, NC police department days ago is what ended up leading to Jeff Hardy's arrest yesterday. Chief Deputy Neil Godfry told the Fayetteville Observer that after getting the tip, they launched an investigation that led to a search warrant for Hardy's home. They then executed the warrant yesterday and found the drugs in Hardy's home.

Okay, time to confess guys. Who on GAF did that?

Reason for Morrison vs Ziggs match being pulled?
Regarding WWE's decision to replace John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler with Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz on the WWE Breaking Point card, F4WOnline.com reports that the decision was "finish related, in that they couldn't come up with one."

WWE views both Morrison and Ziggler as having legitimate breakout potential, and the company presumably wanted to further develop the rivalry so as to assure that when the match does take place on PPV (likely at Hell in a Cell), the finish does not greatly impact the loser's overness.

Kofi and Miz should be interesting.

It's shocking that RAW writers are actually going to be using midcarders. Where Jack Swagger? Carlito? Primo? Miz and Kofi have been little used or absent, too. Typical cat shit in a can.
