Booker T was unable to get to tonight's PPV due to Hurricane Ike closing the Houston airport, and the main event will be a three-way match (Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage vs. Kurt Angle).

Both Hernandez and Sheik Abdul Bashir, who also live in the area, came into Canada early and were at last night's house show.

Firing Russo would be fine, but it doesn't solve th emain problem, Dutch Mantell. The guy is SO stuck in the old southern style of booking. TNA has possibly the best roster ever assembled, yet they have some of the most goofy ass booking known to man.

Stop trying o be WWE, and start being TNA again.

Here's a question I have. Why is it Sting announcing HIMSELF for the main event of Bound For Glory (for the third straight year)?

I like Sting, but he never wrestles, why should he main event their biggest show?

Because Dixie Carter thinks he's worth the moeny they give Sting, and Sting supposedly is a legend in this business and etc etc.

Jarrett the WRESTLER, I like just fine. He's probably the best heel I've ever seen work a crowd. As a BOOKER? No thanks.

Nash, I agree... get his overly political ass out of there. he serves NO purpose.
Russo.... ugh I dont even know where to begin.

I'm not saying this person is the answer, but he certainly could help... Heyman. You know he's out there, you know he has financial problems, so back up the damn truck to his door and get him to write for you.

Paul E. Heyman. The guy is a MASTER at emphasizing strengths and hiding weakness. He knows how to work with talent, just don'tlet him near your checkbook.

I honestly dont want Sting back in the main event. If he wins again, I'll be pissed. Joe's done fine with the belt, have him go over the "icon"

I want the champ to be someone who's doing the house shows, shows up every week and works all the PPVs. Not a part timer who doesnt even do the meet n greets.

From PWTorch's play-by-play of the PPV:

8 -- FRANK TRIGG vs. A.J. STYLES -- Three Round Submission (MMA-style) match

ROUND ONE: It sure felt real early, with a nice takedown by Trigg. Trigg threw a nice bodyshot and a knee in the corner. Styles shot in. They tumbled to the floor where Trigg took some illegal shots at Styles. Styles punched back. The refs separated them and sent them back into the ring. They returned to the ring. West said Trigg throught this would be his world, but Styles can adjust. Trigg took Styles down immediately and controlled him on the mat. He drove in some knees, then taunted him with some slaps to the face. Styles upkicked. Trigg avoided it and threw a punch. Trigg then went for an armbar, but Styles was tied up in the ropes to force a break. The crowd chanted, "We want wrestling! We want wrestling!" The director actually cut to a close-up of the crowd and amplified the sound. Strange decision, assuming anyone in the truck was paying attention to the actual chant in the first place instead of just instinctively going to the crowd when they heard a chant. At 4:00 the crowd booed as the two circled in the ring. Trigg tossed Styles to the mat again and once again controlled him on the mat. He had Styles's back. A loud "Fire Russo!" chant broke out, as if this type of match is reminiscent of Russo's style. Styles surprised Trigg with a flying armbar takedown. He tried to extend Trigg's arm. but the round ended first to potentially save Trigg. West said, "Un-believable!" Tenay said another ten or fifteen seconds and Styles may have popped Trigg's elbow. Why don't wrestlers incorporate that move into regular matches?

The screen then went blank for two or three minutes. When it came back on, there were two topless women lying together. Unbelievable. That was a system-wide error and there will be a lot of people upset and others pleasantly surprised. When they went back life, Styles pulled out a kendo stick from under the ring and beat on Trigg. His music played as Tenay said the match was ruled a no contest. He said Styles got the last word. Styles left the ring and told Tenay and West that he's a wrestler he doesn't do "that stuff." Tenay said not only did Styles hold his own in Trigg's world, but he almost won.

Overall decent PPV. Both Knockouts matches were good, x-division title match was good, LAX vs BMI was great, and the main event kicked ass even with the interference from JJ...

Looks like BFG is gonna Sting vs Joe for the title and Jarrett vs Angle. So far so good...
 
Just watched a promo video for Bound For Glory that was just uploaded...

Jeff Jarrett closes it out with saying that at Bound for Glory, there's going to be a surprise that's going to "shock the world".

Probably Foley, but he's been all over the place saying he's signed with TNA. But who knows....
 
Salinas has quit TNA, according to PWI.

She's apparently booked some film role in Italy and offered to give up the role if TNA gave her a pay raise. TNA said no, so she gave her notice.

TNA just has too many problems right now. Firing the booking committee is a good start. When you do, it'd take quite a while to revive the promotion for it to be good. I think the best thing to do at this point is just to restart the promotion and change the name. I never liked the name "TNA" anyway.

The wrestlers, the entire point of the promotion, nearly all of them are ruined right now due to poor decisions. The guy that you want to lead your promotion, Samoa Joe, looks like a fucking bitch 90 percent of the time. He has natural wrestling talent, nice charisma and a decent personality to boot, but in the confines of TNA he looks horse shit. Why cheer for this guy at all? There's no reason to.

I like your booking committee. Cornette is just there to get a pay check though, since he knows no one will listen to him in TNA because his ideas are too radical or whatever. I'd rather TNA sink and die under Cornette then have it die under the royal trifecta of bullshit (Mantell/Jarrett/Russo).

I want Mick Foley to book. I do not need to see him wrestle. Please lend your mind to Dixie, Mick. Please. Don't you truly know in your heart that TNA SUCKS? Seriously.

If there's ever a booking committee, I just want a couple of simple things...

1. The wrestlers in the ring take precedence over everything else
2. There should never be gimmick matches in TNA ever again.
3. There should never be run ins on TNA ever again.
4. Until I see anyone who can capture the mature story line of Michaels/Jericho, just do a basic story line of "wrestler wants a title" or "wrestler heel escapes yet again to stay with title". Simple stories most of the time are all you need. I don't need swerves, double swerves, or whatever. Its stupid.
5. Make it to more of a sport. I don't want yet another fed to be another WWE. Fuck that shit. Market the fact that you are a sport and market it hard. With great marketing you can convince the main stream anything.
6. Drop the american style of wresting and go for the styles over at Japan instead. I'm sure everyone in TNA can work strong style.
7. X Division and Women's Division deserves more recognition.
8. Tag team wrestling needs to come back in a big way.

Maybe after all that TNA could get rating of 1.3 or higher. I know they could but honestly, I'm just about to give up.

Statement from his assistant. Claims Jake was drugged.

Jake was booked at a show this weekend in Cleveland. He went to this show, doing a live interview earlier in the morning for the promotion, that by all reports went very smoothly. His appearance at the show did not.

Before I tell you what I know about what happened to him at the show, and that knowledge is very limited, I was not there, I will tell you this. Jake's behavior would normally be construed as completely unacceptible. I understand from the promoter that he spend endless time wandering back and forth to the bar. Jake took his rehab from the WWE very seriously, and has not done such a thing in months, so this behavior made me really scratch my head as to the REASON. My sincere apologies go out to JC, the over the top kind natured promoter who did nothing to deserve this, and has been nothing but kind to Jake, and by association, myself as well. My sincere apologies to the fine fans of Cleveland, you did not deserve this at all.

That for this, again. Jake was given an open container of what he was told was a cold drink. That happened when he got to the venue. He remembers nothing between that time, and the time he woke up the next morning in the motel, alone, beaten, injured. I had a really fun time getting him back on the same page, by phone, to just get him to the airport to try to get back home. It was a constant string of conversation just to get him to MOVE. This is not how he behaves ever. On his worst days, Jake has always had total recall.

Jake was drugged. He has been home since Saturday afternoon about 4:30PM and up until last night about 8:30PM, had not eaten or slept. His standard answer for everything the last two days has been "I don't know."

That is the other side of the story, folks, believe it or not, it is certainly your choice. I'm dealing with the guy they sent home, and folks, it is frightening to both me, and to him, and really not much fun. To the guy's that did this, and I say this often when confronted with sub-human behavior, something I see far too often I'm sorry to say, God's a funny guy. You'll get yours, I have no doubt at all.

I'm not really a wrestling fan anymore, but I used to watch Jake back in the day when I was a kid. That was a really hard video to watch. If the drugging story is true, I hope they nail whoever did that to him. If it's not, I hope he gets back on the wagon ASAP.

Which is more likely?
A person with a LONG history of substance abuse. Cocaine, pills, heroine, you name it.
OR Some random indy worker who's making $50 for the night drugging Jake for no real reason?

Didn't he have a streak of like6 months of constantly being in the main event and losing?

I HATE Batista, I honestly can't see any reason for his popularity.
