it's not even really a promotion of cancel culture, it's more about the fundamental basics of individuals being able to be consistent in reason. if someone with that ideology has no issue at all with removing people then when that person falls victim to their own rules they should be appropriately punished and not this wildly uneven application of punishment. Think about if a person cannot even follow the rules they've set forth what chance at all is there they'd follow the rules set forth by others. The only lesson he's learned is that the rules don't apply to him and he can treat others on completely different standards from himself.

This kind of thinking only applies to "elites." In the regular people world dudes get let go for going a few minutes over their break or completely trivial things that employers won't even bother to explain to you.


If you masterbate on a zoom call you show carelessness, lack of technical skills, and bad judgement. Every day in this country someone will be fired for far less. But connected people? Different rules.

See that's actually, if I'm being honest, one of the most interesting facets of this. Jeffrey Toobin isn't some superb legal analyst that provides amazingly brilliant commentary. He's easily replaced, he's a commodity of which there is a huge supply in the academy and private sector of much higher quality. So, why is CNN picking this hill to stand on? Fire the loser and move on, hire someone who hasn't tried to pay a fellow network contributor's younger daughter to abort his love child. He's clearly trouble, clean house.
