It's made by Nubytech and I've only seen crap from them. Take that for what you will.

It says the buttons are by Happ, which indicates that they're probably not Japanese. They're likely these ones: http://www.happcontrols.com/pushbuttons/5896xxl.htmSatelliteOfLove said:Circle gated or 8-direction stick? It has Japanese buttons, so that's upping chances it's the latter.
Suprisingly under $60. I'm considering getting this even though I have the Hori Tekken 4 arcade stick.={<SMOKE>}= said:how much is this badboy?

The stick looks like one of several listed here: http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/joysticks_amusement.htm There's no ball top, so that reduces the chances of it being Japanese style to nil.

manji said:In the end, I opted to wait on this 'till I can get some impressions on the SF Anniversary stick, and instead dropped $39 (shipped) over at GameStop.com on the pelican real arcade stick (ps2/xbx).

Also curious about that stick: The brand-new one I tried out did not work with the new PStwo model. It worked fine on Xbox. Worked fine on my PSone. But my PStwo didn't know there was a controller plugged in.manji said:update: just got the Pelican stick in...haven't fired it up, but can instantly see some random wierdness.

One thing to consider is the possibilty of blowing a controller port due to hot-swapping (plugging the controller in while the unit in on).MarkRyan said:Also curious about that stick: The brand-new one I tried out did not work with the new PStwo model. Yeah, that's just the kind of thing that makes you remember how small MAS really is. I was very suprised that when I ordered mine, I had to talk to some woman who was dealing with her kid at the same time, and had to go inside because a lawnmower near her was too loud.Minotauro said:the owner of MAS had his car stolen? Inside of the car was a bunch of invoices for sticks they were supposed to build.
ArcadeStickMonk said:manji, I'll save you some typing with your Pelican impressions. Unit is too big, buttons too curved, stick too damn loose. Unless you are suggesting that the unit has been changed.
They are ripe for modding though, both the simple kind and the complex kind.

Daigoro said:i need to import a Hori dammit.
I'm assuming you are talking about the Universal Nuby SCII stick, cause the Hori SCII stick is supreme. The Guivre said:You'll have to ask ArcadeStickMonk for the actual life-span of that particular stick but I'm pretty sure it wasn't much more than a week before it was buried under a few boxes full of other failed controllers in a closet somewhere.
Yeah, those things are shit. So was the top-mount stick that came with the SC2 stick I got from them. They mounted it in wood so the shaft was extra long; abysmal. I took all those pieces out and threw in Happ competition parts.toohectic said:The buttons look to be pretty much identical to the Red Octane buttons which were straight up terrible
