first sheffield and his steroid cream, and now this.

In an article published Saturday, the Chronicle reports that Greg Anderson, Bonds' boyhood friend and a defendant in the BALCO steroids conspiracy case, provided Bonds with steroids that could be taken the day of a test and still not be detected.

i have no reason to believe this. people are always trying to bring down the best.. sigh.

you mean his own friend and personal trainer would try to "bring him down"? Or you don't really believe this tape exists. Honestly, i don't think its THAT big of a deal if he did juice, and i don't think the general public cares that much these days, but c'mon? Between the Sheffield thing, and this, if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, its probably a duck (and i don't mean a jeff garcia gay duck, i mean a duck who's head is 3 times as big as it was 5 years ago) I would say that i hope he doesn't break Aaron's record now. Aaron is, IMO, one of the most underrated and underappreciated players in baseball history.

Hmm, a guy who is lanky and strokes homeruns for half of his career becomes a guy with huge muscles who crushes the ball and gets arguably better as he gets older. I wonder how that happens?

If this turns out to be true, and I really think it will be in time, Bonds should be banned from baseball like Rose, and all his records either wiped or marked with an asterix forever. Personally I think he definatly has been on steriods for quite sometime. Bonds has hit at least 45 home runs in each of the last five years after reaching that mark just once in his first 14 major league seasons. Coincidence?

You ban Barry for steroids then you have to ban half the bigs. Loads of these fuckers are on the shit, not that that is a defence for Barry. It sucks finally knowing for sure that the man who will likely break Hank Aaron's record is tainted, but at the same time, I guess knowing for sure one way or the other is better than never knowing at all.

I don't think it makes people happy that he's on it, but rather that there is finally proof that he is. We're not happy that someone is cheating, but rather that someone who we pretty much already know is cheating is finally getting caught.

sports are so tainted nowadays

LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO BRET FOR GODSAKES!

Bonds should at least, imo, have an asterix next to his name in the record books. Many baseball players may be likewise on steroids, but it remains that Aaron, of course, was not. And I think it's pretty stupid that he's likely going to lose such a great legacy because some fuckface decided to juice himself up.

Baseball lives and dies with its broken records or irrelevant plateaus, and like no other sport. And this is one of the biggest. If any baseball fan isn't at least irritated by this, then they must have a woody for Bonds.

goddamit, Griese!
man, this is his trainer. i was skeptical before with nothing but allegations. but assuming this tape is real...RIP Barry.

your pitch selection is unmatched. you're one of the greatest pure hitters ever. but you juiced, dude. you lose. erase his name from the books.

How do you not believe it? Look at his head! What hat size is that? 30? He looks like Mr. Met.
Wahahahah!

I am poised to believe that Mr. Bonds eats small children to retain his strength, so much that I hate what he's done for the Giants.
