Blue Nocturne is too risky and Remy needs meter for EX LOVs. The damage isn't even worth it. It only does a bit more than II. At least Yang's SA 1 gives him meter for EX slashes.

Remy's a pretty fun character but to make him effective, you really need to elarn charge partitioning to be more offensive. Outside of that, his biggest weaknesses is that he's primarily a poke character (and not an incredibly good one at that) and has no normal or target combos (he's like one of the few that don't have any). He does have some very good counter combos though (parry anything and c.fp into a rage flash). SA1 and SA3 are the best of his two SAs IMO, Supreme Rising Rage Flash takes too long to build and the damage on it is kinda bad. Light of Justice is great for ground pressure and Blue Nocturne is great for characters that rush.

Remy SA2 is my main character.

I'll tell you why I use SA2 much more than SA1. There are many "reversal" and punishable situations where SA2 will hit, but SA1 will not. I don't know for certain, but I'm almost sure that it comes out in much less frames than the Light of Justice.
Another reason is you can link SA2 off of a UOH. I don't think you can with SA1, but if it is possible I sure as heck have never pulled it off.
I think SA1 starts off with a high LOV, thus comboing into this super against a crouching character gets kinda hit-or-miss quite often (likely the reason why SA1 won't link off of a UOH)

If they just gave Remy a bit more power on his normals he could be a force. He just don't. I hate seeing matches where Remy takes of a third of his opponents life by doing all this crazy fighting mixups, pokes, etc etc. Then say he was facing Dudley, one decent, relatively easy to pull of combo by him and Dudley is now winning. Its... just not FAIR :lol
