A shooting occurred at Purdue University in West Lafeyette, Ind., today.

Purdue campus police confirmed that a shooting occurred at the electrical engineering building Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting triggered a "shelter in place" text message alert for the rest of campus, the school told ABC News affiliate WRTV.

The school has not yet provided details on whether there were any injuries.

Its a combination of

- ease of gun access
- mental issues of an excessive amount of people
- the catalysts which result in these mental issues
- lack of help/ neglect
- the declining culture of respecting the people needing help

Cops usually have identifying marks on jackets and they're often bright colors that most people don't wear.

There are different kinds of cops. Not all wear the typical uniform.

It's a jacket not a teenager hoodie. Not saying it is or isn't a cop but there are plain clothes cops.

If there's a shooter on the school grounds, last thing I'm going to do is risk catching a photo of the guy. Whether it's a cop or not, if you can see him, then he can obviously see you for the short span of that image.

There are reports of multiple arrests. I think they are arresting anyone who might be a suspect. They still havent verified anyone in custody was the shooter

So glad they caught the shooter for a change. I hate that it seems the shooter always gets the easy way out by having the cops kill them. Well done
