Should DC explore a Robin movie?

I like to think Batman gets all of the attention and do think his son, Robin, to some degree could benefit from a stand-alone movie, which could be good. What does GAF think about their favorite sidekick?

Robin's something of a joke to the mainstream -- see how the Lego Batman Movie handled him.

I don't think there's enough love to justify a solo film, but I wouldn't have thought an Aquaman movie could turn out decent either.

Yeah no thanks. I'm already facing sick of batman, last thing I want is the less interesting version of batman. And beat em up super hero movies are boring to me now.

I'd rather have a 3rd kick ass or a sequel to Super than another batman or batman related movie.

Kinda thought they would have the Robin from dark Knight rises maybe continue Nolan's Batman series would've watched it oh well

I like Robin but I don't think he can support a movie on his own . He works much better with the Titans , Young Justice or Batman. I feel like a movie with just him would end up with most viewers just waiting for Batman to appear,

Nightwing could be interesting but I fear people would see him as a bootleg Batman

I see no need for a Robin movie.
Maybe, but a big maybe, if somebody does something crazy with it and catches lightning in a bottle with it.

Otherwise, it's doomed to fail.

A single Robin? Depend on which robin you go with. Damian has enough to keep a movie interesting, birth child of batman and raised by assassins. His journey could hold a movie. Stephanie and Tim definitely cannot. They aren't interesting characters by themselves. Dick and Jason can.... if you go through their journey's from Robins to Nightwing and Redhood.

I don't know if DC will ever make a movie starring The Boy Wonder, but I'm not really wishing for one.

But for me, the very concept of Robin clashes with the dark image of Batman that DC has projected unto the character since the 1970's. A kid sidekick to a vigilante who fights criminals? That is so fucked up on many levels and makes Bruce Wayne look like a child abuser.

Robin works if you treat Batman as a comicbook for children. I wish they'd lighten him up and stop with the Dark Knight who wraps himself in Darkness because he has no parents!
