Or…find a spouse who can provide those benefits. My sister was third in her class in law school. This is from a prestige law school in our state and she passed the BAR for two states. She knew what to do, but she never worked. It’s been over a decade and she has no plans to work. She had kids and decided to home school.Nothing is her fault, no one ever told her anything, she didn't know so she isn't to blame......Take some responsibility for your actions. Using a computer but unable to use a computer to find out information.
If she is happy it shouldn't bother you. She chose family over career. they are not mutually exclusive, but that is what she decided to do.Or…find a spouse who can provide those benefits. I don’t know what’s more irritating. I work with lawyers as clients. They make a good living. It’s her life, but it also irritates me. She has no 401k, no savings, and multiple children.
Both situations are irritating. These women haven’t settled down yet. Their ignorance could possibly be cleared in a day or two.
They want the same thing - marry rich and be a trophy wife. Are these women REALLY better off living this way as opposed to their grandmothers who were married and taking care of families at their age?
No. After a certain point everyone needs to take responsibility. She's grown. Life isn't that hard when you're that attractive. She has all the time in the world to figure things out. She even has a smartphone that could tell her exactly how to get insurance. The entire knowledge of the world is at her fingertips. Her parents are completely to blame here tbh, they raised a moron and then set said moron loose on the world, parents are probably morons tbf
There is an age of accountability where people must take responsibility for their actions and decisions. What they know and what they don't know. Her parents are completely to blame here tbh, they raised a moron and then set said moron loose on the world, parents are probably morons tbf
She may also be a special kind of dumb here. Her parents are completely to blame here tbh, they raised a moron and then set said moron loose on the world, parents are probably morons tbf
Wouldn't know, we get ours free from birth ;-)Health insurance is a game changer, there’s a feeling of optimism having it.
Yes, it's pretty sad.the US does a piss-poor job of preparing young adults for real life
Can’t say I relate, everyone has it in France since not dying to a preventable disease is kind of a human right around here. Fucking French, eh?Health insurance is a game changer, there’s a feeling of optimism having it.
I had several classes in school that taught many of those things. And that's still not an excuse. She has a phone. She's just lazy.I don't know how it is in other countries, but the US does a piss-poor job of preparing young adults for real life. I don't believe that's changed since I went to school eons ago (if this video is any indication it hasn't), but there should be mandatory real-life stuff being taught - money management, life skills, taxes, etc.
The idea that you think it is free shows you lack a solid education. A better way to put it, would be, "tax payer funded".Wouldn't know, we get ours free from birth ;-)
Sure, but it's still pretty sweet that health and education are included in the tax like that. It's bizarre that the U.S. hasn't done this yet.The idea that you think it is free shows you lack a solid education. A better way to put it, would be, "tax payer funded".
Most adults would've assumed that without having to spell it outThe idea that you think it is free shows you lack a solid education. A better way to put it, would be, "tax payer funded".
It is not free, everyone knows taxes go towards it. The difference is in philosophical choice of “fuck you, go die” vs. “everybody is in this together”.The idea that you think it is free shows you lack a solid education. A better way to put it, would be, "tax payer funded".
you know you win the argument when they resort to semanticsMost adults would've assumed that without having to spell it out

These are not the only 2 solutions. It is not free, everyone knows taxes go towards it. The difference is in philosophical choice of “fuck you, go die” vs. “everybody is in this together”.

she technically doesn’t know I even think this, but I also have a right to my own opinion. That's kind of messed up man. She's doing the most noble and amazing thing a woman can do in the world and you're shitting on her for it?

I'm sorry you don't have a great relationship with your siblings. I understand that, I was down that road myself for a long time. I hope one day you can come to an understanding together.she technically doesn’t know I even think this, but I also have a right to my own opinion.
She sends gift cards for the kids, but we haven’t talked to each other in 7 years and she lives in the same town. I get updates from my mom. My sister and I don’t talk because they don’t like my wife. They didn’t even go to my wedding, which was in town. I helped babysit her kids while she took the BAR.
Why is having a negative thought about a person assume that they’re always striving for the greater good? That’s assuming everyone is always doing the best they can and there’s no room for I don’t know… some financial backbone if someday her and her husband ever split.
If she's old enough to drink wine she's old enough to figure out how health insurance works. Her parents are completely to blame here tbh, they raised a moron and then set said moron loose on the world, parents are probably morons tbf
