I find it a drag to finish most of my drawings too, but it is hard already to form the habit of doing it regularly so when i don't feel like finishing one i just move on to do another one and i might later consider going back to finish the earlier one if i feel like it.
Dunno if I'll finish this one, feeling kinda demotivated lately
A rough face animation test. Probably need to remove a frame from the blinking.
My animation skills are still in the novice stage lol, but thank you very much.your animation and style is on point. always great to see you post

Thank you!Like many others said it here, your work is really great. Love your style.
Have you some anime/show you worked on to share ? Would like to see a finished work
Thank you!
My background is more in illustration & design. I've been gradually learning animation over the past year and a half.
So obviously I have quite a lot more to learn. I've been kicking around ideas for some animated shorts I want to create.
Although I need to bridge the gap, so I'm mostly exploring fundamentals and compositing,

Thanks, dude! Hope to see more from you as well. I love pixel art.Good. Keep going, I want to see those animated shorts
I'll show you something to hear.
Dunno if it fits, but I think music is art
For sure. Attempting it for myself gave me even more respect and appreciation for extremely skilled animators that make it look easy lol.I find anyone that can animate to be pretty impressive.

Sick! How long have you been playing for?

That's pretty cool. I'd certainly agree with the people on that discord.played for about 6 months in highschool/college until all my gear was stolen. Then I got a guitar as a gift in 2016 and just piddled with it. I finally picked it all back up 2 months or so ago and I've been playing almost daily for an hour plus.
The discord I'm a part of; they seem to say I'm very good so far just to have been playing as long as I have.
Haha I remember watching flash animations on Newgrounds. I'm more or less same way with music. I dabbled with trying to produce electronic music a long while back.As far as animation is concerned. I grew up on new grounds and I've always appreciated animation. It's something I know I don't have the patience for and my art -which I've posted in here- isn't very good. I've got poor line control and I can't keep the thickness the same worth a shit.
I would recommend to practice sketching, focus less on trying to create a completed work and more on getting different ideas down. Then look at what you like the most and try to expand on it and make it look better in a new drawing.I find it a drag to finish most of my drawings too, but it is hard already to form the habit of doing it regularly so when i don't feel like finishing one i just move on to do another one and i might later consider going back to finish the earlier one if i feel like it.

Some of my friends are artists that make music, I really admire people that create in ways completely different than me.

Although I feel that if I ever tried to seriously pursue it, I would become over critical like I am with visual art. I love listening to music too much for that lol
Truth is though, there's alway room to learn, right? Repetition with intention. Being mindful of technique, putting in the work through practice, and enjoying the process.
I'm sure you understand many of those things overlap with visual art and music, I guess it's more of a matter of observing more so with your eyes or with your ears.
You clearly have disciple and drive, if your music is any indication.
I mean yeah, i've always found sketching more fun than rendering a complete page color and all.I would recommend to practice sketching, focus less on trying to create a completed work and more on getting different ideas down. Ha that's quite a compliment. The Mamoru Oshii GitS films are big inspirations of mine. This looks out of the first GiS movie, looks great.
Impressive work, dude. Two new cars for my city.
Update on the city: Going to start putting up some Condos soon.
This is really coming along. Very naturalistic lighting. Interested in seeing what you'll do with the architecture.Played with some lighting, and made some more changes before the buildings go up.
I spent a couple of weeks collecting architecture plans. Proceeded to download a whole bunch of them even though I might end up only using 3, lol. This is really coming along. Very naturalistic lighting. Interested in seeing what you'll do with the architecture.
Ah cool. Looking forward to seeing more, for sure.I spent a couple of weeks collecting architecture plans. Proceeded to download a whole bunch of them even though I might end up only using 3, lol.
But otherwise, I'm working closely using real cities as references. So expect something like this, (it's based on an actual district in Saskatoon),

I've been making those for breakfast these past days, always incredibly yummy
hahaha you're basically doing a basic tomato sauce with red bell pepers and ground veal in my case. can easily be done in a single pan. and conserves well in the fridge (the sauce without the eggs in it at least)Recipe or it didn't happen.
great for breakfast. or anytime really.- 1 big can of diced or whole tomatoes
- 1 medium sized onion
- 2 red bell peppers
- meat that you want (for this recipe i found that veal > beef > pork > horse) roughly a pound i dont measure stuff.
- Dried oregano
- salt
- pepper or red pepper flakes. not both you bastards.
[ this is a guideline for 5-6 eggs, you could add : minced garlic, diced carrots, paprika smoked or not, cumin, go wild, the world is your oyster you could even do 7 eggs, who am i to judge.]
I always found the simpler version to be better tho.
- olive oil in the pan, get it hot over medium-high heat.
- put in onions and peppers, meat and salt and pepper, oregano. cook until meat is golden-brown
- reduce the heat to medium once the meat is nice and browned, add the can of tomatoes bits and juices. bring to a simmer for 15 minutes
- adjust to taste once it has simmer, (salt, pepper, spices)
- make wells for the eggs, cover and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes depending on how runny you like the yolks.
- garnish with feta and parsley
I also consider my job kind of an art form. I’ve recently started dabbling in doing more artistic presentation in video of some of the jobs in my dumb iMovie app, but I find it very calming to watch.
Painting is kind of the coasting part, lot of more grindey work to get it there but I love what I do. Although painting also holds the keen opportunity for an epic fail, particularly in clear because you’re right on the edge of too much when you apply it right. Also I tried to edit them a little better lolThis a pretty cool job.
