This is the view from my bed:

66uuu03.jpg

Games (plus a few comics) on the top shelf, Samsung LE26R41B (720p), Logitech Z-5400s, Samsung DVD-HD950 (the shot is a little outdated; that's been replaced with a Toshiba HD-E1) via HDMI, Topfield TF5800PVR outputting component via SCART, modded PStwo via component. With bonus Hideo Kojima card and Mononoke forest spirit.

Moving a little to the right...

4tzapog.jpg

Dreamcast via VGA with GB Micro and PSP in front of it, Wii via component, PS3 via HDMI, Xbox 360 via VGA. The PC is way outdated and not even connected. If the view was shifted a bit lower you'd see my Laserdisc player (Pioneer CLD-D925) connected via s-video.

This is the best shot I could get of my DVD pile shelf:

4zlhr2v.jpg

It extends another row to the right and there's another shelf below that, but this room isn't big enough for me to get it all in. Plus there's another layer behind the ones you can see.

And finally, my burgeoning HD movie collection:

Everything that has an IR port (*glares at PS3*) is controlled with my Logitech Harmony 525.

everything looks washed out in this picture because my camera sucks but whatever

Tech Craft component rack

Damn!

Cell phone shot but there's nothing all that special about it anyway:

Samsung 226BW monitor (meh, it was cheap)
PS3
PSP
Altec Lansing speaker set that I've had for like 5 years and is still awesome

I just bought this shelf last December, but I'll probably need a new one after Umbrella Chronicles comes out. Part of the collection is hidden by the brown frame of the glass door. -_-

lol I was at a friends house and I just had to take a pic of his setup for the enjoyment of GAF

the "IKE@" scrawled in magic marker on the 2x4 tv stand makes it IMHO :lol

edit: ironicaly, I just bought a dresser at ikea. I put it together and thought it would make a nice DVD and game storage for my living room.

TV not centered on stand would make me put a bullet in my brain.

There are two CV DCs and two Seaman DCs. The all red one is the Christmas bundle which Estarland got a hold of the first exact print numbered 0000. They sold it for $1499.99. The regular LE Seaman bundle is just clear black and goes for much less.

Was it your goal to have it so that every time you turn your head, you see a different TV/monitor?

Actually my goal is build a gameroom consisting of having a TV dedicated to each major system. It's not even close to being finished. Since I don't have the time or resources to dedicate myself to doing it right now, I just decided to have my own personal setup in the PC room. Since I'm too lazy to have an all in one setup, you get the picture. The main room still has a big TV dedicated to friends and family coming over. The most played games are still Saturn Bomberman, versus fighters and Guardian Heroes.

A TV per system? May I ask why?

Please tell me you just bought that...

I have some relatives that leave the labels on all their consumer electronics - forever. They think having the specs spelled out will let everyone else know how awesome they are - instead everyone just comments how fucking retarded it is...

Kadey you should get an arcade machine, that's all I see missing from your wonderful collection :)

Not sure if you're into that tho...

I need to update my pics... I have a crazy arcade stick collection that's taking up most of the space in my house....

Right, he should've taped it and skipped the commercials, like sensible people do.

So you are saying that piracy is ok?
You know - there's a reason why there are commercials on tv. If you don't like em go BUY the DVD!

wtf at the stickers. they better be off by now.

yes the stickers are off now, I took this pic the day it was delivered by Eagle GL.

My Tv is CENTERED now, don't have a cow. I'll take a new picture.

neojubei - how does it feel to pirate TV-Shows?

Well I do want my content commercial free and I do not have anything to record with except my vcr that will not touch my tv. Oh I already have Heroes season 1 pre-ordered at Amazon. Too bad it is not on blu-ray or I will buy it.

And what's up with the two PS2s? It doesn't look like you really need them.

The PS2 silm is American and the FAT ps2 is Japanese. And why are you having a cow about this?

Well and I would like to get my games for free and a week ahead before they go retail!
And yet I still dont pirate them.

No I'm not. I understand the fuzz if it's about music, movies, games, software and whatnot, but not fucking TV shows. Are you seriously telling me you sit through the commercials? Honestly?

TV Shows are intellectual property just like "music, movies, games, software and whatnot". They cost money to produce and there are three ways to get this money back:
1. commercials
2. pay-tv
3. DVDs

pirating them undermines the business behind these shows just as pirating "music, movies, games, software and whatnot" does.

It is a slippery slope. But I tivo 'em and skip the commercials, so it's practically speaking, the same "crime."

This argument is fraught with terror.

Say what.
I ask you again, do you sit through the commercials? If not, it doesn't make a difference if you tape the show and watch it later or if you download it and watch it later. Unless it's a DVD rip I see no problem with that.

Show me where I can get HP5 on DVD now, otherwise there's no crime in downloading it.

I'm not claiming to be an angel, but to say that it's not wrong to download TV shows is moronic at best.

And I think obtaining said shows from illegal sources like neojubei obviously does/did crosses this thin line clearly.

So i should get rid of my video tapes of some of my old shows like exo-squad? I never said it wasn't wrong, but since the creation of the vcr people have been recording their favorite shows and movies, and yes that was wrong too. I do not share the show and i will delete it when i buy the dvd set. wow. can we not get off topic now.

It isn't free to see HP5. It IS free (and legal) to watch Heroes, and to record it and remove the commercials. In my opinion, getting hung up over whether someone records it themselves is moronic at best.
