Man-some of the pictures you guys are posting look wicked-like they could be used for magazine advertising. @@

Me though? I'm a slob. I like my stuff to the point, messy, loud and proud.
You have been warned.

That's genuine dust there folks. No lousy bumpmapping needed-

My lovely 30 inch HD SamSung set I bought last week, displaying the Unreal Tournamanet 3 movie from the Xbox market place.

That Jason poster is AWESOME, where did you get it?

A friend of mine bought it for me at a comic convention.
He claimed it wasn't cheap, but he wanted to return a favor he owed me so who am I to turn down such a lovely gift.:)

So I finally got everything hooked up in my new condo. I had to ditch my projector but I moved the 1080p Sammy into the living room so it's not so bad :D

I feel like a proud papa!

Here's the Onkyo receiver and speakers, PStriple lower left, 360 with the awesome Forza faceplate in the center, Comcast HD DVR top left, and last but not least, on the bottom right the amazing AA component switcher (which I only use to switch optical audio).

And the rears (didn't hook up the 6th channel).

Just bought a brand-new PS3 and it is downloading the new patch...

My gaming setup in my basement... it is only a 27" Sony WEGA HD-TV up to 1080i with HDMI for the PS3

Gah! I've always wanted a Goban. So expensive. :(

Lucky...

I love the thing to death. This one was relatively "cheap" as far as floor gobans go. $400-something, and it's six and a half inches thick with legs.

Cripes, that's still expensive. Though, I know they go waaay up there.

Perhaps someday I'll aquire one. Greatest board game ever concieved.

What is a good, cheap way to store around 100 or so DVD's and games on a rack? I don't what kind of place would be the best to look: Best Buy or a furniture or home goods store?

Personally I think you can do better looking online than at Best Buy. I ordered a metal one from Target online that I like better than anything I could find here in town.

I'd suspect that what you'll get at a furniture store will be closer to a bookcase than a DVD rack. That choice would depend on what style you're after, I guess.

You showed me yours, I'll show you mine :

Sony Bravia 32", PS2, PS3 and a samsung surround system.

I need something to put my games in though, placing them on the ground is not a solution. It kinda hides the clutter of wires though :)

PS3 is situated behind the TV on the other side, just like the 360. Wii is downstairs on the DLP, as it looks like hard-boiled ass on the LCD screen.

Hey Donkeyshow, you have windows right behind your setup.
1 - Do you use the windows?
2 - Doesn't light coming directly from behind the TV bother you?
Anyway, nice setup.

Could you direct me to where that TV-Stand was purchased?! Would be much appreciated.

1 - Not really. They're mainly there for decor.
2 - Again not really. They actually help with the PQ, kinda like those lumen light thingys that people use behind their HDTVs. I have a nicer time watching during the day tbh.

I'd normally try to avoid playing games in low light like in this older pic here.
roomver34.jpg

Plus it's more pleasing when there's more natural light like in the original pic here.

Heh, pretty funny because their is an advert for the Hits where it has a setup like that, and colours explode from the screen... nice setup, subtle and stylish.

32" if I'm not mistaken.

Yep, 32.

And thanks for the comments, it's good to finally have a setup worthy of posting here. I used to be the jealous one. :lol

Now I just have to pay back the loan on the television whooo

some of these are seriously nice.

i'm moving next month and plan to upgrade and do an all new set up soon after.

my old set up was before HD gaming even exsisted.

Took some new pics, might as well post them in this thread.

spelrum4.jpg

Two systems connected, PS2 and a PS3.

TV is a Bravia 32" V2000
Speakers: Logitech Z-5500 Digital

Do you mind posting a picture of how you've got the speakers set up (or describing it)?

I just purchased the same set this month and I'm wondering where to place everything (this is my first 5.1 setup). Right now I've got them all sitting next to each other in front of my TV, but I wanna mount them on the wall or something. Just that I'm not sure where each satellite or whatever they're called should go.

Best one so far, IMO

Hardly.
It's nice and unclutterred, but the competition is steep... there's the setup with the penny arcade grafitti, the one with the red/white ikea setup, with projector and LCD and the other dedicated projector setup with proper lighting, nice heavy curtins, nice seating setup, etc.

That said, I'd be happy to have such a setup.

Hooray for messy setups!

It's a 22inch computer monitor that I use for an HDTV

Here are my games, post-cleanout from saturday where I traded a lot of stuff in. Not pictured is Viva Pinata, which my friend is borrowing.

And this is where I'm posting from. Oh yeah!

I wish I had setups like you guys, but I'm a teen on a budget.

My setup is not as grand as some of yours, but I'll post an update anyway.

This is one of my favorites in this thread. The dark wood, the paint color, and the lighting on the shelves and bird is great. That clutter on the left side has to go though.

thanks , the clutter is fixed now though :lol

Where'd you get a copy of that SOTC fan art in an image large enough to frame like that? The only copy of that pic I've seen was really small and I don't see a copy on sammy's page.

Someone's been shopping at Target!

I was gonna get that blue couch, but I needed one long enough to fit my 6'4 frame.
