My TV was pretty cheap back then, but it has a great picture and does 720p natively. I wanted to change it but better invest in games.

(also note how the xbox isn't connected, I sent myself the console to my flat in berlin from my homecountry luxembourg...but forgot to pack the component and got the vga one instead, everything's here and connected now though)

Wow, lots of people seem to use that little clear plastic disk under the Wii.

I don't because I'm cool and the disk is dorky. Clearly you guys don't have hot babes coming around to play Wii all the time like I do. If they saw I used the plastic disk I'd go from hero to zero.

I am trying to determine optimal fan placement for my 360. Still havn't decided if the vertical + fan or horizontal + fan keeps it cooler.
:lol That's a pretty awesome fan you have there. If I were you I'd rig up a pipe from the airconditioner to blow air straight in the side of the 360.

For the record, I'm going with vertical (to let the motherboard side dissipate heat into the air) and I've put some spacers underneath (about 5mm thick) so it can hopefully draw more air through the base.

I saw a Madcatz cooling thing the other day in the store which is really cheap and includes a charger and two batteries. It sits under the console when vertical and uses two fans to blow air in. I think it could help.

I most certainly do sir! But I see that you've gone with the method of securing your Wii with acres of electronics equipment instead of using the dorky plastic disk.

I'll bet you pull heaps of chicks.

:lol It is funny you mention the air conditioning thing. I was seriously considering constructing some sort of duct to direct the flow of cold air right into the 360. I realize that this would be madness and I have to do the cost analysis to see what my electric bill would be if I had the AC running every time I fired up the 360.

I admit I would seriously consider it since the aircon is so close. Even just to get the benefit when the aircon is occasionally running to cool the room. Just a bit of PVC pipe or something.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if running the aircon every time you fire up the 360 turned out to be cheaper than extended warranties and repair bills. And you can't put a price on retaining your sanity (or what is left). :lol

You have been an active member of the "My Xbox 360 Died and......" thread, you must know that I have no sanity left.

Being that you've been in a mentally fragile state lately I didn't want to say it in case it sends you off the deep end.

Again.

Anybody eyeing the Magicker (sp?) set from Ikea needs to jump now. My local store is clearancing them out--the TV stand for $79 and the coffee table for $49.

I'm considering it, but I really wanted to redo my living room in a darker color :(

WIP cockpit. Seat has a clark synthesis silver transducer for a shaker. Goto love how well forza 2 is with bass shakers.

I refuse to buy a new tv till a 50" or bigger hits my budget or a decent projector i like is made.

Buy a Samsung DLP. I looked around forever, and in the end, you really can't beat a 46" Samsung DLP for $930 SHIPPED.

Mine should be here by the end of the week and I'll have some pics up then.

You have to be outside North America, cuz my G25 shifter is always on my right!

LOL when I first saw this pic I didn't even see the big TV on the wall, I just thought it was another poster/scroll :lol

That does it though, the setup is hot like fire even without the wall HDTV. Wasted money on the Alienware though, but looks like it doesn't matter.
