Shrimp is the ocean's taste orgasm

Breaded shrimp is worst shrimp.

Seriously that shit is terrible and takes your so-called orgasm out of the equation.

This on the other hand over some rice or sopped up with some bread....is fucking heaven:

What is that?

While I love prawns, lobster and all types of fish, is there anything as succulent and flavoursome as a crispy, creamy, salty pan-fried centre cut salmon fillet?

God, I just came back from the gym and that sounds amazing...=(

So if... uh... the ocean had a taste... like salty... like saltwater... and that taste, um, came... like, had an orgasm... like, if the "taste" was somehow personified and had, uh, working sexual organs... erm... if that happened... its orgasm would taste... like shrimp?

Fresh boiled and peeled shrimp on white bread with mayo.

In Denmark we have these tiny shrimp called 'fjordrejer' and they are divine. Takes forever to peel enough for a slice of bread though.

Even your shrimp is struggle food.
get it together EU gaf.

barbecue shrimp new orleans style or get the fuck out. Jaegers in bucktown had the best. I think they got wiped out in katrina though

Shrimp is so fucking good, I love to eat them prepared with garlic (As they call it here, Al Mojo de Ajo), holy crap I just ate dinner and I could still eat a few.

I used to like shrimp. That and salmon too but it's kind of Baby's First Seafood. Also, most are from farms and taste like paper.

OP, if you want to move up in the seafood world you need some abalone. Or sea cucumber.

Pro-tip, if you are ever at a restaurant fancy enough to serve both then order that. Abalone and sea cucumber together is AMAZING.

Apparently taste orgasm is a phrase that is common in everyone's day to day lives except mine

Nothing to add about shrimp. It's ok

Uhhhh well shit. Bye

Oh my God are those stomatopods/mantis shrimp?

I want to know what they taste like

They are fucking delicious. Kinda shrimp-ish, kinda lobster-ish...honestly if I had the choice of all 3 I'd probably pick mantis shrimp. I never see them on menus in the US though.

Shrimp are gross and a pain in the ass to successfully eat. They're really only acceptable when they're (coconut) breaded, because then you don't have to work to eat them or actually taste them. Also, prepping whole shrimp is fucking disgusting. I once passed out during my brief life as a chef while prepping shrimp, which is the only time in my life I've ever fainted. Coincidence? I think not.

You were an off-hours prep cook at most.

With this and the cheese and butter sandwiches, I'm now imagining all Scandinavians having the same palette as people in rural Iowa. Like, I imagine shrimp and mayo sandwiches being a big hit down at the local Sizzler.

Ignore him. Poor fellow is probably from some third world country that doesn't know how good life is up here in the north where we have fresh shrimp to put on our white bread and add some mayo, etc.

You see, us Americans envision it as a wonder bread/kraft mayo ordeal. Not what you have in your pictures.

Something like this.

Does someone know why sometimes when I eat shrimp the meat is soft and almost translucent, and other times it is thick and white? Is it different breads of shrimp? I don't think one is overcooked, since I have cooked the sh*t out of some shrimp and they are still translucent.

Enjoy eating the bottom feeders of the sea :(

I really don't understand attitudes like this. Think about any and all food that you eat and where it really comes from, how the animals are treated, pesticides, etc., and suddenly all food is disgusting. If something tastes good, it tastes good - period.
