Shrimp is the ocean's taste orgasm

It's all about sea urchin roe (uni) for me.

If you like a runny egg yolk, I urge you to try this.

I've spent about 2 and 1/2 years of my life in Japan - eaten a lot of shrimp. And mantis shrimp. And 'ise ebi'. This here might not be much to look at, but it's at the top of my list. Ebi ten don (shrimp tempura bowl) in the Gion district of Kyoto. Those shrimp are each about 7-8 inches long btw.

Will keep in mind if I ever end up in Kyoto, thanks!

Fresh boiled and peeled shrimp on white bread with mayo.

In Denmark we have these tiny shrimp called 'fjordrejer' and they are divine. Takes forever to peel enough for a slice of bread though.
Mayo? Fucking mayo? Jesus Christ. Get yourself some cocktail sauce like a decent human being.

I generally don't like seafood, but over here a restaurant offers Maple+Buffalo Shrimp

It tastes as good as you think ;)
Heck even I'd take a bite, it tastes so good.

Shrimps were one of my favorite foods until I got allergic to them for some reason. Life is cruel sometimes. If you can, try to eat Mofongo with Shrimps.

crab > shrimp

Truth. Shrimp has a weird consistency to me. Kind of a gummy, almost crunchy consistency. Those probably aren't the right words, but it's just different than other seafood that I eat. Fried shrimp takes care of some of the consistency problems for me, but I still don't go out of my way to order it. If it's put in front of me, I'll eat it.

Shrimp is the best, in any form. Just watch Forrest Gump and then go get anything on that list. I personally love it raw in sushi.

fucking A.. i love skrimp. served any way.

i even sometimes eat the shell and all. can't be bothered. plus adds a nice crunch.

beer. butter. old bay. steam. lemon. parsley for green accent.

god. all seafood is amazing. oysters. roe of any kind. crabs. lobsters. octopus. it's really sad how depleted the oceans are becoming.

So you talk about how great shrimp is and then put a picture of the way to serve it that completely masks the taste of it in fried nastiness?

Looks delicious! I'm headed to Kyoto in a few weeks. What's the name of this place? Anything else you'd recommend?

My personal favorite shrimp, Spanish red carabineros with just olive and salt. Sucking the juices out of the head might be my favorite bite of food in the world.

I don't eat shrimp, I think I'm allergic. Every time I've tried it my tongue literally starts to itch like crazy for a few minutes. Same thing happens with lobster as well which is a shame cause lobster taste pretty good. :(
