When Sony released the slimmer PlayStation 2 in November, sales of the console jumped so high that many retailers were left without units to sell for the busy holiday season. It appears that Sony may be imploring the same "new-look" tactic to spurn sales yet again.
On its Web site, UK retailer Argos prematurely posted a page featuring the slimmer PS2 brandished in a silver hue for 99 pounds ($186). The Web page has since been changed, but the picture of the unit is still up.
Sony was unavailable for comment at the time of press. The UK is no stranger to lustrous PS2s as there is already a UK-exclusive silver-colored version of the old PS2. No word on whether or not the slimmer silver model will make it stateside, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear.
