Sin and Punishment Sequel?

From Magicbox

- Treasures is planning to develop a sequel to the hit Nintendo 64 title Sin & Punishment, the company is pleased with the quality of the game.

----------------

Is this the game that might come to X360???
----------------

crap, I forgot Nintendo's IP....so Revolution maybe

Ohhh, that would rule. I don't care what system it comes to, but I certainly hope it's true!

considering Sin & Punishment is a Nintendo property, i'd have to say this is either a false rumor or a Gamecube game.

This is from a Game Informer interview a few days back. And they said that they were "considering" a sequel as a possibility, not "planning" one.

maybe for the nds?

Maegawa already stated that any touch functionality would be an afterthought for Treasure-developed games. If they're going to do a "meh" job with the DS they might as well refocus that effort on the Rev. Too bad they haven't said much for PSP support.

This guy can pound the beer and sake like you wouldn't believe, drinking with the President of Treasure was one of the highlights of my first TGS (last year).

This would make so much sense that it´s hard to believe it can happen. A DS sequel would rock. A revolution sequel with the first one as bonus would be killer.

Speaking of Sin and Punishment.. I bought the import off of ebay months ago in hopes of modding my n64 to play it and never got around to it. This thread has reminded me of that and renewed my interest in finally trying it out. Anyone here know how to mod a n64?

I didn't like having to tap-to-shoot in Metroid Prime Hunters.....am I the only one?

I never played the demo of that, but I hear that's been removed.

Oh and to be on topic: great news for your S&P fans. Never played the game myself. Looks fun though.

Open up the system and find the plastic internal cowling that fits around the cartridge slot. There are two tabs in the corners that serve as the "security" mechanism. Get a soldering iron, a drill, or a Dremel, and melt down or ream out the tabs. Or, just remove the cowling entirely, along with the slot doors (which would expose the slot to dust).

I remember hearing that Sin & Punishment was one of the greatest N64 games that never made it stateside. It'd be cool if a sequel came along and it did come to America. GameCube or Revolution, I don't care. Just make it so! :D

If you don't feel like going through the trouble, you can always use an N64 Action Replay or Wonder Adaptor to play import carts.

If they make a sequel, make it so you go back to Long Island, please. I just think it's awesome that the gods at Treasure know about our little island east of Manhattan, when some people from the US don't even know where it is :P

Oh, and I would KILL to see the aircraft carrier level with nowadays graphics technology. Treasure are truly the masters at whatever system they're coding for.

Sin & Punishment was fucking brilliant. I still play it occasionally. One of the best games I've ever imported (and perhaps the first!)

what's with the recent exposure of Treasure? I remember years ago when Dave Havlerson was like the only one who ever paid attention to them. I'm liking this rekindled interest in them though.

You haven't played Stretch Panic, have you?

name a ps2 game with bigger boobs!

I own it - the realtime deformation is pretty unique, but the actual game was very weak.

But look at games like Radiant Silvergun (SAT), Gunstar Super Heroes (GBA), or Sin and Punishment (N64) if you want to see my point.
