I've only just read "The Hard Good-Bye" and it's pretty remarkable how the dialog and look in the scene with Lucille and Marv is a perfect clone of the panel in the comic book along with the scene in the rain. The Comic to Live Action transition in the trailer was a nice touch.

BTW is Carla Gugino playing 2 characters or just Lucille? It's just the actress in one of the screencaps with the gun to her face looks alot like her but IMDB only credits her to one role..

never read the book but i thought the movie was good(im also just a fan of the Hughes Brothers), but then again, it had Depp. Anything Depp does is good.

You know, Spy Kids is a damn good kids movie. I took my little cousin to see it, and he loved it and interestingly enough, I really liked it as well. I don't really know about the sequels or anything, but SK1 was definitely a fun ride.

The man should get recognition for willing into existance "El Mariachi," not to mention that Desperado was a pretty slick movie in its own, and his segment in Four Rooms was one of the funniest dark comedy shorts ever.

Saw the movie and read the book and enjoyed both. The movie took one feature of the graphic novel, the city of Whitechapel, and basically made a movie about it, a good choice considering how massive the source material was.
