Not a pure skateboarding game but check out Gori. I forget the full name but it's a new indie. You play as a cat on a hoverboard. Has grind mechanics and you fight hordes of mutant unicorns. Really weird premise but the demo was fun.

The beta did not leave me with much hope. the series started off as a more grounded skateboarding game and got wackier with each entry, and this is an online free to play mess of people everywhere and 500ft long air gaps and super unrealistic tricks. If that's what you loved about the third entry, you'll dig it, but its not why I liked the series.

Hope it's not too THPSey and retains the fun gameplay of the past iterations.
I don't even care about the visuals i just want to have fun doing my kickflip tailslides and 3-6 flips above trashcans, like (i wish i could) irl.

it's a game that's too ambitious, tries to cast too wide of a net and in the process doesn't satisfy in either direction. casual people who dont skate will love it cause it's a cross between thps and fortnite with focus on characters, identity and social interactions / having friends.

actual skaters probably will not like it because it's too unrealistic and not really focused on skating but more a friend simulator with skateboards.

That worked well with THPS Underground on the Xbox and CDs which where copied to to its harddrive.
