Skyfall Theme by Adele

This film is really getting a massive push, ignore the theme song I don't think I've seen so many James Bond adverts and general stuff around and on TV.

I assume Sony are hoping this really pulls it out the bag this time, and hopefully if it does they won't take 4 years till the next one, lol.

Has nothing to do with Sony. MGM went bankrupt in 2009. That's why there wasn't a Bond movie for 4 years.

Funny how since the official release of the song, I have not once listened to Skyfall anymore.

Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough on the other hand I've been playing non stop. Funny how these songs went under my radar when they were released (maybe I was too young), but now I'm completely in love with them.

Love the line "so overdue, I owe them". Great delivery and best part of the track imo. Towards the end it gets a bit samey and loud.

I've been playing You Know my Name non stop (the film version). It's so much better than this Skyfall theme borefest.

The love affair gaf seems to have with YKMN kinda surprises me... or not.

All I can say is that it's not my kinda song. In 99% of cases I find a female voice a better "instrument" than a male one. It's just how my ears work. :) So YKMN automatically has an uphill battle to win me over.

But apart from that, I just don't find the song that good. It's more like a regular rock song. Which is probably part of its appeal. I've got no evidence for this, but I think this song sounds good in the ears of rock fans, while a song like Adele's, or Garbage's, or Crow's, or Turner's, or Bassey's... are another genre altogether, and therefore attracts another crowd. Their songs are more a mixture ofpop music and Big Band.

You Know My Name is truly a masterpiece but this was really good as-well!

edit: And now I listened to Goldeneye. I fucking hate that song today, for some reason.

License to Kill is probably my favorite Bond movie on a given day. I just love how dark it is.

Someone who supports the cause!

Depending on my mood.
And the light in the room.

My favorite Bonds rotates between From Russia with Love, OHMSS and License to Kill.

I really like the song. It give an intense feeling that things maybe changing. I haven't seen the movie yet but I look forward to seeing it. It seams like the Daniel Creg films are going for the epic, against all odds type, music themes. Except for QoS unless you count the reject theme "Forever".

Saw the movie the other day. Liked the song, but agree that the chorus was disappointingly weak (ironically the one time where I think her tendency overdo it would have fit). The titles were fantastic though.
