Maybe this minigame IS GOTY... Jeez, it rules. I can't think of a game that has ever had more intuitive play control. This is almost the second coming of Missle Command.

One question... Sometimes the bombs seem to randomly blow up... I don't hit Lakaitu, or so it seems. Any idea why? Something to do with the ship?

This game makes me think an online DS version of Worms that utilized the touch screen to aim could make for a truly great game.

Aw man, this sounds fuckin awesome!

I second the desire for worms/lemmings type games. Pikmin should be awesome. Anyway, these minigames sound great. I can't wait for this game!

Most likely shooting lakitu when he's just off screen.

Great, I had to read this thread today and not last night when I can play. Now I'm stuck at work thinking about eating bunnies. :lol

It was kind of difficult to play this while standing on the subway this morning. I managed a score of 38,000, but then gave up and switched to Luigi's card games.

Dear God, yes. I would kill for a wireless multiplayer Worms game.

I would be very curious to know if you ever find someone else on the subway and play a game against them.

There are tons of people w/ SPs on the subway (of all ages). It's only a matter of time before they start upgrading.

I got 25500 on my first try at Slingshot and haven't touched it since, just because Wanted is taking over my life. 41 and counting...

holy shit.. good freaking score on wanted.. I think I have like 19 right now.. fucking luigi.. ALWAYS luigi.... if their were a trainer for the game, I would like one that takes luigi out as an option.....

and for the record, most of the mini-games (especially wanted) are great examples of games so stupidly simple in design, yet could NEVER have been done on a console or previous handheld because of the lack of mouse/stylus control.

The funny thing is that my fingertip is a bit raw / calloused from playing this minigame. :lol

There's gonna be another class-action lawsuit, like w/ Mario Party 1.

Has anyone gotten past the first level in that snowball mini-game? Either I suck or it's hard as hell.

I get going real nice and fast, then BAM! Stupid rocks.

I've only played it 3-4 times, but 29 is my high on Wanted! so far.

It's true that this system is a triumph of pick up & play game design. I wouldn't want the best DS games to be the only games I have, but they complement the HL2s & MGS3s of the world very, very nicely.

Perfect for a portable, really... I honestly don't know that the PSP will be able to compete on these terms.

Hahaha, rock, I just got a 74 on Wanted... YOU CAN'T HIDE, LUIGI

And borghe, you're absolutely right.

AirBrian: There's only that one level, and you try to get the top time, so you're not bad or anything... just memorize that course.

It is hard as hell. It workes better w/ your finger, and it helps to watch the top screen instead of the bottom one, but I can't do it either.

EAD should really consider making some puzzle and or "arcade" games. They have a knack for physics and control. Fun mini-games like this seem a waste when they could develope the concepts into a full blown game.

:lol :lol

BTW, thanks guys. I'm glad I'm not alone in the snowball level. I found that long strokes get it rolling fast, but it's hard to control left-right motion.

(Wow that sounds perverted.)

Which is why, along with a collection of classic Lucasarts point and click adventure games, no-one will make it :(.

I hope to be wrong about this one.

That's probably true, the type of games that would benefit immensely from the DS will never be made. I blame Sierra and Star Wars for the death of the Adventure game.

Man you guys are crazy. It's ALL ABOUT Mario's Shells-on-ice game. I played it for a good hour last night. 44200.

I still feel that there could be a decent market for a Sierra or Lucas Adventure Collection on the DS... if someone would bother trying.

Ohhh yeah, that would totally rock. It would be heaven to see a SCUMM emulator on this thing.

MAKE IT HAPPEN NINTENDO!
Since there is only one touchscreen pressing L/R will switch screen positions.

I don't know if all the voice would fit on a DS card. Maybe it would...but if not, you lose a lot of the personality of the adventure games.

Really? I get it every time, we are talking about the snowball race thingy, where it counts down from 20 seconds. my best time so far is an even 15 seconds. and thats even with hitting a couple rocks. I imagine its possible in under 11 or 12 easily. just to clarify you guys are rubbing back anf forth, just forward right? back and forth slows you down.

Well the ds cards are 128MB so all of those games should easily fit in with a bit of work.

the voice versions for the two popular ones (SnM and DotT) come under 70Mb each.. so they would fit on a 768Mb card each.

There are so many awesome minigames in this game. The trampoline game is great fun and the Luigi's Mansion game is especially awesome

As I play through now I'm more looking forward to getting more rabbits than actually playing further in the game

i got 32900 on sling shot today.

the tile turning yoshi game is so awesome. i got up to level 10 on that.

sorry, haven't been online all night. I don't use aim either..no biggie, I was only posting a vid for the people who haven't it in motion.

Most of these ames are fricken hard.
