I love the premise for this Moba and its pantheon based roster excites me tremendously. Especially with inclusions like Ne Zha and Guan Yu since I'm a major Dynasty Warriors fan. Definitely a Moba I'll get into.
 
Lol He Bro. Speaking of him, I've been having a lot of success with He Bo in Arena/Domination lately. His 1, 3, + ult combo can kill pretty much any non-tank target in seconds. The only problem is that he's a free meal for Loki/Ne Zha if they get the jump on you. Sometimes I was able to use my 3 to launch Loki away and then escape but it wasn't easy.



Man I wish my girlfriend day was on Thursday. We only get to see each other on the weekends so we have to deal with insane crowds whenever we go out to dinner/movies/concerts/etc.

cd boots and pendant give his 1 ability a 1 second cd timer and his 3 a 3 second you can kill someone with in 3 casts i love me some he bo

it started with a firm foundation and had just gotten better with time.
 
My friend and I played against the most ridiculous wombo combo Arena team I've ever seen: Ares, Hades, Poseidon, Zeus, and Loki. Ares would ult first, and then we'd get yanked into Zeus + Poseidon ults, and if any of us used our Aegis/Beads then Hades would ult, while Loki would come from the side and kill anyone on the outskirts of the battle. I generally hate this term, but that was the most "tryhard" team I've ever faced. Oh yeah, and we won. :P Made a huge comeback at the end when my friend got his Deathbringer + Rage on Cupid.
 
I am not the best player but i am owning a lot of people. Got so many kills yesterday won a bunch of matches in domination,arena and conquest.

hehe whenever I see an arena match with ares and posiden (or Hades) I grab the other one for that exact reason. I'll also discuss with my team the "plan" before the match starts lol. Zues works well with this too. The key is Aries.

edit: oh I see they use Hades for backup once everyone beads/aegis up.

well lately arena is becoming obvious at the start if your team will instant lose due to the god mix. I go tank now when needed.

I've played against several of them tonight and had mixed results. One of them did great, but for the most part we've been able to shut them down. His 3 can be interrupted with stun/silence so as soon as he'd jump one of us we'd just CC him. His ult can be a damn menace though; it's like a single-target Ares ult. Pretty much a guaranteed death if he drags you back to his teammates. Overall I think he's pretty cool and kinda like Ne Zha where he has obvious strengths and weaknesses — high burst damage, but if you stun him he's probably gonna die. And if you stop his 3 with CC it ruins his damage output.
 
my friend went 32/1 with him max his 2 first so when you 3 them they pretty much die just got to hit them once or twice with normal attacks to finish them off

Pretty much my experience. I fought one in arena as Apollo and didn't have much trouble against him since I could hit him from a distance, mesmerize him when he inevitably jumped in, then used my 3 slide to get distance again and repeat. He was wrecking everyone else though especially when they didn't see him coming.

I like him though. I've only played as him in a practice arena match but the damage he does is pretty ridiculous and he does have a lot of options to close the gap. His ult is pretty limited but useful and if you went with sprint he would be scary as hell since speed is one of his only downfalls.
 
Fenrir is awesome, and dare I say, his default skin is better than his alt. Kinda regretting dropping 11k favor on it... But then again I used gems for his voice pack so lol.

I like him a lot, as was said before max his 2 and 3 first and he wrecks people, even tanks. Gonna take a day or so to get used to him, as I had both shit games and awesome games with him yesterday, but he's pretty solid. Glad they didn't make him a full on assassin, I prefer the bruisers.
 
Once again I almost have the Favor for a new god, and I'm conflicted over who to buy. I was pretty set on Ne Zha because of his huge damage output, but now Fenrir is also looking like he fits that role too. But I also like some of the ranged AD gods. Xbalanque is free this patch and I've really enjoyed playing him so far. His 2 + 3 combo does a lot of AoE damage. I haven't tried Apollo yet but he looks pretty fun. Can't really go wrong with a dash, a mesmerize, and a long range nuke.
 
How noob friendly is this game and how is the community? I'm not a big fan of wasting time with bot matches and would rather just jump into the real stuff.
 
its more new user friendly then other mobas it has built in auto buy (it kinda buys some questionable items but for a new player its fine better then seeing physical people buying magic items) and a auto skill up you can turn off both once you get used to the game and as for the community its the same as the other mobas youll get jerks its just best to ignore them but if you have any questions you can post them here im always down for helping people with god builds and just general advice
 
The community is still forming. There's quite a few assholes, but you'll always get those in team based games when you play with strangers. The competitive scene is also still building, and currently it's in this card house status where teams are constantly switching members and the thing is about to collapse.

In any case, if you're new to the game, try out a few characters in practice mode to get used to the different roles and generally how the game plays, and then I would advise you to play some Assault and Arena games. In those modes, nobody cares if you do worse, and you can give the characters a casual try. It's easier to get into than other MOBAs, imo.

Also, maybe we could set up some GAF Smite games? :)

Went up against a good Fenrir in a Domination game last night. He is horrifying to fight against early game. I was Ne Zha and Fenrir's 3 + one auto attack killed me. However, in the late game I was easily able to go toe-to-toe with him and win. So there. He finished the match 20-6, and I finished 24-6.
Outcarried!
 
Fenrir really is a beast (LOL PUN INTENTED), I was Ra in a few arenas and his 3 was killing me even without all 4 hits at level 18ish or so, AND I had a Hide of the Nemean Lion. Fuck.
 
I roflstomped a team so badly in Arena last night that one of their players (a Fenrir, no less) just sat in spawn and sent trash-talk messages to my friend and I. Lol.

Anyone know when the next patch will be?

Edit: Oh huh, apparently they gonna do a balance patch this week (probably tomorrow), and the next content patch is gonna be likely next week.

The way that gods are selected in Assault mode has been modified slightly to improve the random selection of the gods.

Vampiric Shroud

This item now awards health and mana for every kill and no longer has a cooldown.

Seething Howl

The amount of physical power gained has been increased back from 10/15/20/25/30 to 10/20/30/40/50.
Brutalize

This ability has been changed to deal base physical damage with physical power scaling. This no longer does basic melee attacks or allows for on-hit effects to be applied.
This ability now deals 40/70/100/130/160 (+50% of your physical power) physical damage on each hit and hits four times.
 
I hope so too. Her model looks... nice.

I'm trying to see if I can get my smurf account to level 30. At first it was a joke but I'm level 17 now so it might be possible.
 
but to be fair i do send tells to the enemy team to help them with general builds when i see them building wrong or help them with what order to level a skill or when to use a skill

Isis Patch

New God: Isis

Basic Attack

Isis’s basic attacks deal magical damage. There is no critical strike chance, lifesteal or other on-hit effects on her auto-attack, regardless of items purchased.
Isis’ basic attacks deal 30 magical damage plus 25% of her magical power, and utilize a three-swing chain, with the final hit having increased swing time and damage in a small AoE. Basic Attack Progression: 1/1/1.5x damage and swing time.

Funeral Rites (Passive)

Isis shares additional HP5 and MP5 with nearby allies. For every player death she witnesses, her aura gains an additional stack (max 10). Stacks reset on death.. HP5: 2 HP5 per stack. MP5: 2 MP5 per stack. Basic Attack Progression: 1/1/1.5x damage and swing time.

Wing Gust

Isis flaps her wings, gaining increased movement speed with no backpedal penalty, and sending forth 4 wing gusts in a line, each dealing magical damage to all targets in their path. Damage: 35/55/75/95/115 (+40% of your magical power). Gusts spawned: 4. Movement Speed: 25%. Firing duration: 3s. Cost: 80/85/90/95/100. Cooldown: 12s.

Spirit Ball

Isis sends forth a ball of spirit energy. As the ball travels, it gains in power up to 1.5x at max range. At any time, Isis can activate the ability to detonate the ball, dealing magical damage and stunning enemies within 10 ft., scaling in duration up to 1.5x at max range: Damage: 70/110/150/190/230 (+70% of your magical power). Stun: 1s. Cost: 70/80/90/100/110. Cooldown: 12s.

Dispel Magic

Isis silences enemies at her target location. Enemies hit also lose a portion of their magical protections and are slowed for a duration. Allies affected by Isis’ Funeral Rites aura gain the missing protections during this time. Slow: 35%. Magical Protections Stolen: 10/15/20/25/30%. Protection Steal Duration: 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5s. Silence: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2s. Cost: 80/85/90/95/100. Cooldown: 18.

Circle of Protection

Isis plants her staff at her target location for 10s. Allies within its radius take 30% less damage. Any damage dealt within the radius charges the staff. If Isis activates the staff again, it explodes, dealing how much was stored. Damage: 160/200/240/280/320 (+50% of your magical power). Healing: 80/100/120/140/160 (+25% of your magical power). Damage Reduction: 30%. Max Charge: 800/1600/2400/3200/4000. Max Charge Dmg/Heal Scale: 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5x. Cost: 80/90/100/110/120. Cooldown: 60s.

God Leveling / Worshipers

For every game that is won, the god you played will earn Worshipers. The amount of worshipers will dictate what “God Rank” your god is currently at.
There are 10 God Ranks that can be achieved for each god.
God Rank 1 reached on a god will trigger a Mastery Level for the player. The maximum Master Level you can attain is equal to the number of gods currently in the game.
After each match you will see the amount of Worshipers gained for that match and your progress to the next level.
In the Game Lobby you can see each gods progress in the Gods Menu.
NOTE: Your God Rank will be earned from the point of the patch going forward. Matches played prior to the introduction of this system will not count toward your God Rank.

Player Leveling

The old Player Level is now called Beta Level. Players reaching Beta Level 30 will receive the Ymir Cocadeamon skin if they reach Level 30 before official game release.
There is a new Master Level for a player. For every god that reaches Master Level 1 will give the player a Master Level + 1. There is as many Mastery Levels as there are gods in the game (At this time 36).

General:

Friends who are broadcasting using the in-game Twitch.TV integration, may now be viewed from the TV | FRIENDS tab.
The in-game Twitch.TV integration now has support for your webcam.
Only minutes broadcast during matches are now counted toward the Twitch.TV broadcasting achievements. Idle time in the main menu no longer counts toward achievements.
The pricing for recolor skins has been reduced from 11,000 to 9,500 favor.
The end of match summary screen now shows Tower Damage instead of Tower Kills.
Healing from Death’s toll and Vampiric Shroud are now excluded from the Healing Statistics in the End of Match Lobby.
When choosing a god on the GOD screen or in the match lobby, the god now plays an animation prior while appearing on the pedestal.
VGS commands have increased spam control.

Challenge Changes

All Challenge modes now allow for 1v1 options, in addition to 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5.
Joust now uses the same system for Challenge matches as the other gamemodes.
When you creating a challenge match, there is now an option to allow global (All Chat) during the match.
When you creating a challenge match, there is now an option to allow or disallow spectating / recording of matches.

Spectator Changes

The Spectator HUD now shows the rank purchased on Active Items.
New match lobby treatment when spectating Draft Mode matches.
When replaying a match, god selection in the Match Lobby is now part of the replay.

Fenrir now properly remains captured in Artemis’ trap when he uses Brutalize and lands on it.
His base attacks per second has been increased from .94 to 1 and the additional % per level has been increased from 1.6 to 1.7%.
Seething Howl

The physical lifesteal percentage has been increased from 5/10/15/20/25% to 15/20/25/30/35%.

Brutalize

The base damage of this ability has been increased from 40/70/100/130/160 per hit to 45/75/105/135/165 per hit.

Hel

Cleanse

This ability now removes the effects of Fenrir’s Bite on allies.

Hercules

Earthbreaker

The range of this ability has been increased from 40 ft to 45 ft.

Mitigate Wounds

This ability now heals for 15/25/35/45/55 every second for 4 seconds when initiated.
The percentage damage done within the 4 seconds that is returned as healing has been changed from 30/55/80/105/130% (+1% for every 2% health missing) to 40/60/80/100/120% (without additional scaling).

Kali

Frenzy

This ability is now usable while under the effects of Fenrir’s Bite.

Ne Zha

Universe Ring Toss:

Number of bounces decreased from 5/6/7/8/9 to 3/4/5/6/7 (-2 off all ranks - total number of hits is what's listed here +1 for the initial hit)
Damage per hit increased from 50/70/90/110/130 to 75/100/125/150/175
Physical scaling increased from 15% to 20% per hit
Physical protection reduction per hit increased from 10 to 15
Move Speed buff for Ne Zha increased from 4% per stack to 5% per stack
