SMT: Nocturne endgame question (no spoilers, please)

I'm guessing that I'm about 75% through SMT: Nocturne right now (I'm about to enter the Asakusa Tunnel). I'm also working on the Labryinth of Amala.

Now,
every once in a while, some NPC in the Labyrinth of Amala or somewhere else says something to the effect of, "If you go too far in this Labyrinth, you won't be able to turn back." My understanding is that the Labyrinth is part of the expanded JP version of Nocturne, which was then translated into English, so that the Labyrinth is a sort of side-story that doesn't have much to do with the main game. I could be wrong, though.
So my question is this:
if I concentrate on exploring the Labyrinth of Amala and go as far into it as I can, does something happen that will prevent me from finishing the main game? I'm not terribly concerned about which of the game's endings I get--I just want all of the content, including beating the main game's final boss.

(For all I know, it may not even be possible to
finish exploring the Labyrinth
before I
finish the main storyline
.)

i have a question too

do you have to actively seek out those candelabrum or do they always seem to "fall" in your path while playing through the game?

I'm finding that you have to go farther afield to get them as you progress with the game. NPCs will give you hints about where to find them, though.

If you manage to finish all the levels of the Labryinth you open the flag for the "True Demon" ending (I think it overrides all the other endings, hence why you can't turn back). Which is one of the 6 possible endings. You also get to fight a special last boss when you go finish the game, I hope you like Penetrate =P.

1) You can find all of the candelabra without looking too hard. You'll come out of the Amala Network, and it'll warn you that you're close to a Fiend.

2) If you complete the Labyrinth, you change the ending that you get. It will warn you when this is about to happen, and you can choose not to complete the Labyrinth and get one of the Reason endings. If you choose the Labyrinth ending, you get an extra bossfight after the "final" boss.

To access more parts of the Labyrinth, you would have to find and defeat NPCs for the candelabrum. AFAIK, the only part of the labyrinth that will prevent you from finishing the game is the final one. Not only this final part of the labyrinth will give you a different ending, you will fight a very hard secret boss,
Lucifer himself.
