About a week ago I bought my first pair of Nikes in years, flyknit Lunar 3. I use them for both running and casual wear.
I love how lightweight they are. I ran in ASICS Nimbus 17 before and they felt like boat anchors compared to how light the Lunars are.
But the one issue I'm having with the Nikes is constriction in the toe box. Especially on the outside of my left foot, along the edge of my little toe. I feel like the fabric is constantly constricting that area until it's at the point where I'll feel a lot of pain in my toe. But if I slightly loosen the laces it's fine for maybe half a day and then it gradually gets worse. Repeat.
Is the fabric squeezing feet just kind of a characteristic of the flyknit shoes? It seems to happen when I'm either out running or if I'm sitting at my desk at work. It -doesn't- happen if I'm walking around casually.
I have another pair on order, some Racers. I got those strictly for casual use. But I'm starting to think that in spite of how light these shoes are that I can't use flyknits for any sort of jogging or running, which would be a shame.
