Lots of Yeezy unboxing/on-feet videos coming out on Youtube...it does look like the early leaked shots of the shoe did the shoes absolutely no favors. What seemed to be a floppy Ugg boot actually turned to a solidly-built sneaker with buttery suede, when you look at YTers fiddle with it in proper lighting. These are still a high-fashion sneaker though, it's not like you'll be able to rock these with sloppy denim like you can with Jordans and still look good. I think that's what most sneakerheads still haven't got to grips with.

So far, I have the 574 & 580. The next pair will be the 997 and maybe a pair of Asics. Just got a pair of flyknit chukka; the concept seemed like a neat idea. The chukka are comfy but not as comfy as the 574.
I'm trying to stop myself from going back to the New Balance store but it becoming difficult since they are having a sale. I'll post my pick ups hopefully soon. I want to buy a pair of roshes but can't find a color I want. The Adidas zx flux looks good and comfy but bulky.
Edit: price check on a DS AJ 3 fire red? Thinking of buying a pair but not sure if the reseller's price is reasonable

They probably produced more shoes compared to last year and the hype/interest wasn't there this year.
You can see it across the whole line. The only shoes that sold out were the really limited shoes like the Foams, Jordan XX9 ASG (more so because of the numbers), Jordan XX9 Photo Reel (only released in NYC), Jordan X BoB, the Nike Lab releases, etc.
Nike and company definitely bombarded the market.
And good luck Markman. Don CS go for a rack. And the Photo Reels were only released in NYC and sold out.

Adidas shares have fallen so much, but I think they are due for a turn around. They seem to have found a way to distinguish themselves from Nike.

I can see them rebound. The Yeezy release will determine their fortunes. But they have to be turning around with the success of the Flux's, Boosts, Y-3 line, the Tubulars, Stan Smiths, hip-hop Collabs (Pharrell, Kanye, Big Sean and Pusha T), etc. They just really need to gain traction/popularity in their basketball signatures and generate that crazy release day hype like Nike. Besides the Yeezy's, I can't remember any Adidas release comparable to say the Jordan 6 BF or Jordan XI release (or any release). There's nothing they can do about the past. blue ribbon Direct has it lock and key. They just need to try to claim the present and future.
Having said that, no one is touching Nike. They're a juggernaut thanks to Jordan Brand (Retros and all of the other garbage to a lesser extent like Melo, CP3, latest Jordan sig and the lifestyles). Their Basketball signatures are like like a quarter billion or more. They own Converse. I mean...Roshe's, Air Force 1s, Foamposites, Cortez, SBs, yadda, yadda.
Happy Birthday MJ. His popularity along with the great Nike designs made him a billionaire (Jordan Brand yields billion sales every year plus his stake in the Bobcats/Hornets is like $400 M).

Fragments were crazy limited. The Nike Lab releases are crazy limited. HTMs are limited.
So have a strategy, enter raffles. You may have to enter a lot and bring someone like a girl friend/wife to game the system.
Online, open multiple windows and click away. Be aware of when and where the sneakers are launching (use launch locator/sole links, etc).
If you're still having issues and really desire a limited shoe, use ATC service or a bot. I won't use it and despise cyber crimes (despite how minor this is) but hey if you REALLY need it, try to guarantee it by hook or crook.
Markman seems a little too lucky but don't worry about the next man. Worry about you. Also understand, Nike/etc are dropping shoes everyday/every week so don't get despondent.

My expectations are in check, trust me lol I just remember the days where I could walk into any store or call up my local shop and put my name on a list and I would get any Jordan or sneaker I needed the day of release.

So I set up the command center for the Oreo 4's and of all the places, I got through on my phone on NDC. (I'm still in line on my PC)
I did notice that if you set your PC time ahead, you can add to cart early on NDC, however it just sticks you in line right away.
Eastbay is comedy, tells you it's sold out right away, then magically all pairs are in others carts, try again, then back to sold out.
Finishline is also comedy, 30 second countdown for 10 minutes, then error as soon as I add to cart.
This is nothing new I guess, just glad I got a pair. First shoe purchase since the infrared 6, and probably last until who knows when.

This. The inventory database On the app doesn't sync well with the site. There isn't a different stock except for when it's an app only release.
You'll get hit with cart errors.
And this Yeezy release is the ultimate meltdown for Adidas site.
