Well that does away with a good part of my regret, thanks. :3
Could just be "I had some good finds maybe 8 or 9 years ago, but those days are long gone". It has seriously been a while since I've found anything really good out in the wild for a good price. Everyone checks ebay, or they get swamped by resellers who buy everything.
Resellers are assholes and I hope they get what's coming to them.
If you're just selling your collection, that's cool. If you're selling or trading or whatever, that's fine. .. But where does it leave us enthusiasts when the sellers are buying from the sellers so they can sell it for more than the previous seller was selling for.... These guys will hit every joint in town, regularly, like it's their job, because it IS their money maker.
It completely takes the fun out of buying anything if I can't stumble across a good deal, or just stumble across some good games on occasion.
Someone in this thread, or maybe it was another. They were raving about videogameimports.com or something like that... So I go there...
these assholes.. these import selling assholes are the reason I had such a hard time stumbling across anything good while living in Japan!.... I mean, I did.. I filled out my cartridge only collection 600 or so strong, all at great prices from junk shops... But it was hard, and it seemed to become more difficult over the 3 years I lived there.
Anyway, I go on the hunt for the thrill of possibly finding nostalgic treasures. I don't do it to make money.. I didn't really think about it this way at the time, but as it becomes harder to find much of anything, it really upsets me that ebay is saturated with games, some of them even broken up into manual, box, cart auctions just to be more profitable. Not... cool.
