The biggest rumor floating around suggests it will be an OVA adaptation of Burn The Witch

Its a canon spinoff showing a western division of Bleach's soul society. They use guns instead of katanas because of course they do retard.

But its also looking like down the road we could get a return to mainline Bleach in anime form as well.

Bleach was like the defining anime of my high school life. Me and my friends had an awesome time following it and watching each episode as the fan subs came out. Not sure I'd really want to go back and revisit the series again though.

With all the spinoffs Naruto has it kinda surprises me they've waited this long to get back to Bleach tbh.

The writing got so retarded in the last arc it actually started to become kind of endearing. Its like this guy was turning in his first drafts that he wrote while drunk with no editorial oversight.
 
You guys are nuts. Yeah, sure, the last arc was kinda dumb, but the powers were so fun. The villains were given such ridiculous abilities so far and above anything we'd seen so far that seeing how the heroes coped was exciting.

It's a shame the final battle was cut short. The conclusion was such a cop-out and it's obvious Kubo was setting up something more with Ishida but, no, we get stuck with the anti-vampire bullet. I loved everything up to that point. Ichigo getting crushed so consistently the whole arc was so fitting, and that page flip in the final battle to drive home how ridiculous Yhwach is was so fucking baller.
 
Bleach Manga was so stereotypical of the Shounen genre and it got way worse with each arc, pure cringe.
Tite Kubo should've stopped after Aizen/Soul Society Arc honestly.
Anime was a complete desaster with the early ending, they just cut out so much of the story.
It was okay for the action, but one of my least favorite anime/mangas, almost no substance in this.
 
I hope the mainline series comes back, but I stopped watching it back when Ichigo was saving Rukia from being executed. I missed an episode on Adult Swim and I never picked it back up. Now when I go back to watch it on Blu-ray on my 4K TV it's horribly letterboxed and I can't stand it. I wish the original episodes were all in full HD quality. Now I feel sad inside. :messenger_loudly_crying:

I know that it's in HD from a certain point, but most of it isn't. I feel the same way about Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Although I've seen every non-filler episode of the original Naruto series, it would still be a treat to have my favorite series of all time in HD.

I tried watching Bleach when I was trying to pick up a shonen after I dropped Naruto into Shippuden. It didnt click with me, but then I almost always have to drop and go back to something for it to click. The guns look goofy as hell (like gun-shaped wands) but could be cool.

Sidenote, is there a term for getting turned on by tight stocking/bands/etc. on legs and thighs indenting the skin? Like not bondage, just that slight indentation?
 
I have a soft spot for Bleach since it was one of the shounen that I kept up with till the very end. Jump apparently fucked him over hence the poor final arc because he had some cool ideas behind the execution so I'd be down if they serialize Burn the Witch and don't do him in again. I'd be down for another Bleach original movie.
 
He fucked himself over by being given 3 years to get to the end and still had to rush it. Dude knew he was in the final arc and still decided to create 50 new characters. Tite blew the shit out of the landing.
 
God please make the anime final arc, please.

Yeah i know it's utter shit, but i love bleach anime, the ost was always top tier.

I only loved Bleach from around episode 10 to 60.

After that it made less and less sense and the power levels were just all over the place, like Ichigo multiplied his powers during the span of the story so many times with means only he could use, but then some guy he already defeated 100 episodes ago suddenly can fight on par with him? Nah.

Also, what's up with those dramatic "oh no he was defeated, cry cry sad sad" scenes, when everybody is always alive again in the next chapter?

Bleach writing is absolute garbage but that's what makes it memorable.

Like Kubo establishing that the Espada numbers go from 1 to 10 then later on Yammy says "Who said the number goes from 1 to 10?" & rips the 1 off his chest. LMFAO. Fucking amazing.

Man...the souls society arc was so damn good, it was easily my favourite of the "big 3" during that time. Then it got worse and worse with every new arc

Lol at people parroting the same slander for years on cue, to get a pat on the shoulder, and shitting at Kubo with the smugness of accomplished novelists. It's like those who kept saying Bleach is getting axed soon for years and years because it was low in the Jump rankings, yet it continued after the Arrancar arc for 30 volumes, more than other entire series. I bet you binged watched the first 63 episodes and read the manga scans without paying attention to the dialogues. It's easy to say the writing is shit after you forgot about the tons of characterization and worldbuilding that you never paid much attention to in the first place. And you say Kubo is bad at writing as if other shonen series are masterpieces of writing. The insane power levels bother you but it's totally fine in Dragon Ball.

The end of Bleach was rushed because Kubo had a shoulder injury and couldn't keep drawing for long. Sure the dialogue of the villains was silly often times. Several story threads were not wrapped up. The final fight is underwhelming. Kubo should beef up his writing game in many aspects. So what? Every series has flaws. You should get out of the echo chamber.

If the anime returns, the same people who shit on Bleach on social media/YouTube won't miss the chance to leverage it to get clout.

Nah, he had more than enough time to get to the end without rushing it, but he can't help himself from creating new characters. The soul king reveal was crap, elite 6 that protected him were pushovers. Ywachs henchmen were forgettable and just got sucked back into him for the kill anyways. For all of Naruto's faults at the end, it was 100x better written than kubo's.

If you still wanna read the Mangastream fan translation I won't blame you. Viz version is just better. Theres a reason I wait a whole week to read Hunter x Hunter chapters from Viz, instead of the Mangastream fan translations that come out in a few hours.
