So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

Just set up zoolert on my end.

Kinda worried that when if it emails me it will go into GMail's "Updates" tab which doesn't vibrate/ring on my phone. I guess after I get one of those I can move it to the primary tab though.

text alerts don't seem to work with Google Voice. Gah!

You could set up a gmail filter to make sure you see it

What makes zoolert different/better from Nowinstock?

Did anyone who ordered from walmart yesterday see any update on their order detail? It just says "undefined by Friday" for me.

Same for me (except it says Undefined by Thursday 03/16/17). I chatted with a rep through their chat system and they said everything looks fine with the order. I have heard others were canceled, but that was yesterday so I have to imagine we are still good?... If I don't see a shipment confirmation by mid-day today I am thinking it might get canceled...

how does that work? I set a filter for the word "zoolert" and I can "Categorize as..." but the "Primary" tab isn't available. It does let me set it as Personal, Social, Promotions, Updates or Forums.

If I set it as "Always mark as important" that should work?

Well, in NYC, I haven't seen any phyical stock at retailers. Don't even know where to check anymore.

Yeah at this point I think it's safe to assume it's going to require a lot of luck or patience.
But other than those crazy inflated bundles and the brief(possible mistake) restock on Walmart.com yesterday I haven't seen any online restocks.

They aren't going to magically appear on store shelves, so your best bet for in store is to figure out what stores get shipments on what day and just check on those days.

If stores only get shipments on Tuesday and Friday there won't be stock outside of those two days, at least not in a bigger market where the demand is high.

Stock checker apps are great except everyone else is using them too so it's end up being who can get there faster, not great for anyone working full time that doesn't have flexibility to just run out at a moments notice.

I'm getting antsy about my order... originally said shipping on 3/14 but it still says "preparing for shipment" today. Doesn't seem likely that I'll get it by Friday at this point...

Thankfully I'm not itching to play Zelda and happy to wait for my Mario Kart Bundle !

But I have noticed in my area - earliest expected delivery date as 14th April

Now I'm debating whether to get Neon or Gray. Gray looks ok, altho a bit boring. Neon looks a bit more childish but looks prettier. Dunno, what you guys/gals think?

I usually like clean minimalism for my consoles and handhelds, but the Neon switch just looks more visually interesting than the drab grey IMO. I'm going for Neon if I can ever find the damn thing.

I had the chance yesterday to pick up the Neon Switch from Walmart.com (thx Zoolert!) and I decided to pass on it because I wasn't sure about Neon color. Now I regret it because keep reading no more online restocks until end of month (at best) and I want my switch before a work trip I have late next week :(

when did you order? Mine was 3/8 and it's coming today, so 7 days total.

I got a now in stock alert for the Neon Switch from walmart yesterday and saw it 20 min late. Stock was gone lmao

Ninty needs to hurry the fuck up with this demand. This is ridiculous

This is what happened to me when the Wal-Mart alert went out yesterday. I moved it into Primary afterward, but you may want to pre-emptively set up that filter so you don't miss out.

Set it so anything from "alerts@zoolert.com" gets categorized as "Personal" (should be a selectable option).

Where in Florida? I live in South Florida and have been looking for one the past few days with no luck. If you've seen them let me know so I can go grab one. PM would be preferable so lurkers don't beat me to it lol.

I'm also in South Florida and don't see them anywhere. I don't know what this guy is talking about. Good luck!

Us South Floridians need to stick together in the hunt for Switches. PM each other if you come upon some juicy stock gossip pertaining to the SoFlo area. ;)

Somebody beat me by 20 minutes nabbing a returned Neon Switch at a Boca Raton Target yesterday. I drove 30 minutes to get there. :(

I know they're crazy expensive but you could have bought gray joy con down the road if you got sick of the neon. Gray joy con are one of the few things which are actually in stock at our local Walmart.

Oh well. The Switch has a few teething pains right now so waiting and buying one later is not a bad thing.

Someone actually returned a Switch? Man, I really hope that means scalpers are giving up trying to sell it for peanuts online. Maybe a huge influx is approaching?

Ordered from Amazon.es on Saturday 3/11. Does anyone know if Amazon Global Express (I think DHL?) delivers on Saturday?

Mine and Jpop's both came through UPS.

I'm sure they deliver on Saturdays.

We ordered ours both on the 8th, I believe, and are getting ours today, a week later.

You should be fine. :)

Resale prices for both colors are higher on Amazon.com than they were on launch day, which I think is a good sign re: organic demand for the console.

Or it was just a regular person who didn't want to go through with the hassle of trying to sell, or wasn't interested in trying to screw someone who was just trying to play Zelda.

I had 2 preorders (Amazon and Best Buy) which I cancelled because I didn't think there was enough content to justify the purchase at the moment. I could have kept them both and tried to resell, but honestly for the profit I would get it isn't worth my time (posting, finding a buyer, shipping etc) plus I'm not out to try and make some guy pay a huge mark up so he could play a game he really wants to play.

I was going to, but my train was already running late and I didn't feel like going up there in 20 degree winds.

If you go and they have some report back. I'm down in Chelsea so the trip is not exactly quick

Gotcha, I'm in Columbus Circle, so somewhat close to Nintendo World. Tried calling but they have no live phone calls just automated message. At this hour, not worth going down there i think, maybe I'll take a quick walk, just hate walking in this damn cold! lol

Maybe it works out, but i feel like if they were rolling out a few each day it would have been known already.

It's clear that a big restock in America is coming soon. It's precisely why Gamestop has been hawking bundles the past two days. They are trying to lock in purchases with guaranteed sales of attached items before the massive wave of just consoles hits multiple retailers.

I would like to believe that is not true (not the restock, but the tactic), but all signs seem to really point towards that. Gross...

I thought about amazon es but the wrong power adapter threw me off. The official Nintendo one is expensive and you can't really find generic 5amp USB c chargers, and I don't want to use an adapter for a power adapter.

I just bought a $10 plug adapter from Target, you can get them even cheaper than that if you buy online. Eventually I'll spring for a second official US adapter so I can have an extra.

I don't claim to have any insider information, but I guarantee you that is the mentality behind the tactic. 100% agreed with you on how dirty it is, but that's Gamestop, a company that knows its days are numbered, for ya.

btw, i just checked craiglist randomly and there's a couple of switches for sale in NYC, but no way I'm paying $100 or $200 extra just to get it from a scalper.

are you 100% sure on the color? neon or gray? (if stock wasn't an issue)

I doubt it's that. A quick glance at both ebay and Amazon show both versions are still regularly going for over $400 bucks. The cheapest I see on Amazon is like $450.
