So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

Four grey switches in Walmart off Cleveland Ave in Atlanta. I just came from there and held off in purchasing one. I kinda want the neons.

Forgot to mention they also have two pro controllers and several other accessories: grey joycons, charging grip, etc

Prices for third party sellers are going up again, which indicates that the two week long restock (which was pretty sizeable) was not enough to satisfy the current demand. Bodes well for the future of the Switch a month after launch. I'm bringing this up because many people assumed the Switch will peter out after a month out.

Demand should stay stable at the very least as we approach Easter and with the launch of Mario Kart. Supply on the other hand...

YMMV for this, but I do not recommend ordering a bundle from Gamestop. I have never had more trouble with ordering something than that. Apparently my store messed up with the processing for the order and I had to go into the store to fix it. In addition, when they sent me the email saying I have my digital codes, in reality I only had half of my stuff. Everything's worked out now, but Gamestop will be going back to a used game store for me.

Has anyone seen blue joycons for sale recently? I knew systems would be hard to find but didn't expect the same for controllers..

For some reason the blue/blue and red/red joycons seem to be hardly more than a myth so far. I bought a grey switch because that's what happened to be available when I was there to preorder, but what I really want is a set of both sides red. I didn't think it would be this much of a pain to get ahold of. As far as I'm aware, the only place the single color sets have ever been available in stores or online is at the Nintendo store in NYC.

Just let me buy joycons Nintendo

Let me give you 80 dollars

Naw, all of the aging pre-orders were converted into sellable stock today.

I see. I see a lot of people finding them, though realize it's nowhere close to being a walk in and find one experience. Hopefully they keep steady supply of restocks so people can get them. Mario Kart and Arms will probably keep demand high for a couple months so let's hope production catches up.

Definitely not yet. I went around to several stores today and no one had them. The closest I got was apparently that they only sold out a hour before I got there.
Yea it's getting easier to track them down, but still not to the point where you can walk into a random best buy and you're guaranteed to walk out with a switch.

Switch stuff is almost all sold out everywhere. Shopping with my family, I checked out Toys R Us, Target, and Best Buy just to see what they had. No consoles. Some games. Almost no accessories at all aside from single joycons.

Stock situation will maybe just about to recover mid April I bet then Mario Kart comes along.

Anecdotal I know but my local game store are over subscribed for a pre-ordered Mario Kart bundle.

It is pretty sad not seeing any Nintendo hardware on store shelves. Even the 3DS is almost impossible to get as they are shipping little to nothing.

lol I'm at the charlotte airport for a 3 hour layover and I'm debating taking a cab to a Walmart 20 min away since it's in stock there.

The hunt does weird things to me

Was lucky to track a pair of red JoyCons one week after launch at Gamestop. Traded in my gray ones and got the red ones, I don't need more than two JoyCons at the moment. The Switch with two red JoyCons look amazing, if I ever need another pair, I will get the blue ones.

My friend went through multiple stores in NYC but no luck. I can get one here right now, but can't justify paying $700 for it.

Guess I'll wait for more games to release before getting one... when it's finally on shelves for more than 5mins.

$700 ??! When did scalper prices become that high? I thought they rarely went over $400-$450

I'm in Japan at the moment and there are none here, I saw a couple of used ones, but they were 40% more than a new one

Took the Switch back, and they had two left so I exchanged it. This one has the same issues with the left JoyCon. What the hell Nintendo?!
Considering it was an issue with some of the manufacturing not being up to snuff, it doesn't surprise me that one having the problem would make the one right next to it pretty likely to as well.

It's weird. I don't own a Wii U yet and I almost thought about picking one up just to play Zelda now and some of the other Wii U games I might have missed and maybe worry about the Switch a few months down the road. But I haven't seen a Wii U in stock anywhere either or even any N3DSs.

So how does IStockNow work? Especially for stores like GameStop? Got a notification that grey switch was on stock in a NYC GameStop. Called the store and they said they didn't have any had had no idea when they'd be getting more. I guess he could've been lying/holding it for someone else but I didn't want to cut out for an early lunch unless I was sure they had it

You may just have to take the risk and go over. In the case of the Switch, some stores won't tell you that they have it unless you specifically go in store and check. I did that yesterday when I was notified via IStockNow that a local Walmart got 5 in stock. When I got there, they had exactly 5 on the shelf.

It also may have just been bought before you called.

Make sure you're checking retail only also, or gamestops will show up because they offer that terrible online bundle.

Target bundle with a bunch of forced add-ons for $500

http://www.target.com/p/nintendo-switch-153-with-gray-joy-con-153-starter-bundle/-/A-52385985

•Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy-Con
•Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
•Nintendo Switch Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case
•The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch
•1-2 Switch for Nintendo Switch
•Nintendo Link (Rider): Breath of the Wild amiibo Figure
And it's been in stock all morning. Kind of interesting that the people paying scalpers aren't biting on this and sending it out of stock. But forced bundles suck

what has the deal been with colored joy cons? I'd love to get a set of blue's but they are never in stock anywhere. have these ever been restocked?

That's not bad as far as bundles. Can any of the individual components be returned for face value?

You can easily get one on ebay for under $400 if you want.

Here's a link to all Nintendo Switch with New/Free shipping/Buy IT Now under $400. Theres a tons.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...o switch&rt=nc&LH_FS=1&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

Using auction you can get one for about 20-30 dollars less so like 370-380.

Hmm I live in NYC. I should stop over there one of these days.

Saw them at a local Walmart 2 weeks ago. Returned immediately when I saw that Amazon Japan sells them for $60

SAY WHAT?? I'm looking on Amazon JP I only see Blue/Red and all gray..and it seems like it's through 3rd party sellers? Unless I missed em.

Heard Wal-Mart restocked nationally yesterday, had one in stock locally 10 minutes ago along with a bunch of pro controllers they just got that weren't there a few days ago.

They aren't announcing when they are getting new shipments of products. I got my Official Case and Screen Protector from GameStop when they restocked nationally a week or two ago.

It will probably be a lot easier to find them in stores then online, as they sell out within minutes online. Maybe check nowinstock.com and every day an online store restocks check yours locally? There is no tell to when Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us or GameStop have been restocking.

I have a Toys-R-Us, 3 GameStops, 2 Wal-Marts, 2 Targets and one Best Buy near me and the only place that hasn't had restocks is Best Buy. They have all had online restocks in some form of the other, usually bundles.

I refuse to buy 1-2 Switch. The rest are okay.

Another forced bundle? Glad I was able to snatch a neon off amazon last week before it was too late.

Wait for the official Amazon JP to restock. When I bought em off walmart it came up to $85 because of tax...

I don't know how or who he's getting that price from since, but I just checked eBay and prices are still sub-400 for grays, not sure what Neon's go for since those were further down and had a lot more time till the auctions were done.

Just randomly walked into a walmart and bought a switch. There where only two left so I got pretty lucky.

Brought a used neon switch on CL used for $300.
Bundled with a carrying case, 128gb microsd and Zelda BOTW.
Seller said he had rent to pay so he was selling cheap.
Checking CL in socal some users are selling in $300 range used.
