So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

My local gamestore told me yesterday that demand is slowing down a little and they expect you can buy one at their store without pre-ordering around July.

That's hoping they don't bring the megatons at E3 though.

(though I think with a bit of effort most people are now able to get it within one or two weeks, so it definitely slowed down a bit from the first two months.)

i will eventually get whatever mini/micro they drop

its always sad how people always imagine several beautiful colors for new consoles and nintendo ends up releasing black and ONE extra color - thats never as pretty as the colors we imagined before

But Mediamarkt is charging €349 for it unlike other retailers who ask the regular euro price of €329 for it. Maybe next week they gonna have a great sale of just "€329" for a new switch!! And people will flock to it.

About the Dutch Mediamarkt situation: maybe I'm wrong, but online it says sold out, and looking at retail stock, every mediamarkt store seems to have sold out as well according to the website's stock tracker. Where are you guys seeing ample supply? Or did I misinterpret the posts?

Germany here, was trade in and can't get the money back.

I know, but Saturn has been selling the systems relatively regularly on Ebay (though sometimes just available for in store collection). Are you at least sure that your Gamestop isn't just selling Switch systems to others while sitting on your money? Gamestop received a shipment last week.

Pretty sure. They got shipment last week. Two Neon Switches. I ordered Gray.

my hands hurt just from looking at this. The biggest advantage of the Vita is the fact that the right stick is at least somewhat useable in handheld mode.

If they do make a mini:micro it wouldn't make sense to call it a switch and if the controllers aren't detachable it also wouldn't make sense to have the controls inverted on the right side. It would look more like the Wii U controller setup

Just for curiosity i searched my old post:

Well they are still there except the neon one at euronics and trony.
In Italy Switch definitively doesn't fly off the shelves, so if you want one import from Italy.

This is the part that makes a "Switch Mini" the least likely imho. Even more so than the "a Switch that doesn't switch ain't a Switch" part.
Every game suggests you might wanna use invidual joycons for controllers. i don't believe Nintendo would ever make a Switch that doesn't come with "2 controllers for local multiplayer" packed in.

and not have the controller inverted in an even smaller form factor? like ... having the face buttons all the way down there? that'd be an even bigger ergonomic nightmare.

its sold out now, it will be fully available in 2 weeks :)

Got an alert on my phone that my local target got 6 in. I was there 2 hrs later and got one. The hadn't even taken out them on the shelf yet.

My state seems to average 2 stores have some on any given day and they sale out in a matter of hours.

Has there been any indication on how restock on some of the Nintendo-produced accessories is going? It looks like gray joy-cons, pro controllers, joy-con charging docks, charging grips, etc. seem to be consistently in stock by me in the US in big box stores like Target and Best Buy. The one thing I cannot find either in-store or online is an official Nintendo AC adapter. Baffles me a little how out of all the accessories that one in particular seems to be a bit scarce.

Anyone else having issues or could recommend a solid third-party alternative?

What app/website are you using to receive alerts?

Targets seem to have the most around my parts. Several stores had at least 2. The store I ended going up to even had like 4 or 5 PSVR units.

Sidenote...i can't believe Nintendo got my ass again. Every. Single. Time. I say I'm going to "wait it out" and never can. Idk what it is.

Wait until you buy the switch plus. Slightly bigger screen, better battery. And you'll buy it. Because it's super Mario red. Or Zelda gold.

I want you to remember this post.

I'd be all over a Switch revision that was a similar size, but bezeless with a much bigger screen. Assuming I could trade in my current one for a reasonable discount.

It's a little bad in Southern California, though there were plenty of units prior to Kart 8's release, but I got the money for the console just after the game's launch, and now it's sold out everywhere again.

From what I looking in iStockNow, there aren't many Gamestop stores in the U.S. selling the machine. When do you think the next major restock in this retailer is going to happen?

Surprisingly, my roommate found them in stock at both Best Buy and GameStop in westside Olympia last weekend. Picked me up a neon and Breath of the Wild. I was not expecting to get one until at least fall, completely made my day.

I walked into Walmart and bought one this past Monday, I see them fairly often at Walmart and Target here in Cincinnati and finally picked one up. Brickseek lags behind the actual shipments from what I have seen.

Target here in Kentucky/Southern Indiana has nothing and has had nothing since launch.

I spoke with a GameStop store manager during my hunt, and he said they were not expecting to be getting more until June.

Anyone looking for them in the northern Ohio region, the Madison Walmart (about 40 min east of Cleveland) had 7 when I picked one up on Tuesday.

Friends: what's the current situation back in the UK? I wasn't under any impression it was hard to find there since after launch, but a cursory check of Game, Amazon, etc just now shows no stock. Is it a different situation in-store?

Still out of stock in a number of bigger stores, but not too hard to find if you search a bit.
