Where are you? A lot of Gamestops supposedly got restocks in California and Nevada.
Arizona. I had one Target that said available and when I went there weren't any. Three days later IStockNow still says available on that store.

Is there any point in trying to get one just now in the UK or just wait for however long it will be? Apparently Game had them in stock online last night and this morning but no luck getting one.
Neon blue-red available in Amazon DE? My German is horrible and all I understand is that they can ship it to my country, and it would take like 2-4 weeks.
Yes, that's what it says.
So is it available then? All you guys from Germany should get it now, haha.
Game prefers selling their stock as bundles...
Hopefully they have a Zelda or Arms bundle available soon then
Why is there stock problems in some countries while in others countries such as Australia, you can walk in and buy anytime?
We had some stock problems in Australia for a few weeks, but yeeeaah. The system is just insanely expensive here, and so far distributors have done a piss poor job getting any games on store shelves.
I mean, here's EB Games right now. Compared to the competition, the Switch with its absurd $470 RRP is a really tough sell for the average consumer.

I saw 2 in my local BestBuy the other day. One grey and one neon. Passed, as I'm waiting until next tax season.
If you're in the US and still want one keep diligently checking InStockNow.
It's how most of my GAF friends who didn't get an intial preorder in found one.
You just gotta be diligent. I'd check that shit 3 times a day before I got one. Checked in the morning. Would check around lunch. Then check when I got home in the evening. If something popped on the map I'd immediately call to get stock confirmation.
The map shows in stock but it seems false. I went to few Walmarts in NJ and ended up disappointed. Waste of a trip.
You always call first.
This is an Honest question: Was this something Nintendo could have avoided or at least prepped for better? Knowing the components they had were coming from a Manufacturer who makes that same component for Apple and other big companies?
Is it something they could have maybe made a deal on with other manufacturers or at least coaxed a deal for the so called bidding that's happening with Toshiba NAND flash?
Still looking for one here. But I talked to someone at a Best Buy in Davenport and they said they'll have stock Sunday.A friend is traveling to Orlando on 06/23, any tips about where to find a Switch for a decent price?

1. We're almost four months in. Wii definitely wasn't sold out for four months in non-Nintendo markets. With some tenacity (and no stock trackers) I was able to get a Wii two weeks in.Because Switch is behaving like traditional successful Nintendo console. High demand in Nintendo strongholds like US, Japan and France but not that high demand in weaker markets like smaller European countries (For example Nordics) etc. While some have speculated that Switch is new Wii for Nintendo I don't see it. Wii was sold out absolutely everywhere. Even in traditionally weaker Nintendo markets. Switch isn't.
My uninformed guess is that when the other manufacturers are making products with those components, selling them for 2-3 times as much as a Switch, the other companies can probably bid more competitively than Nintendo.

2. It's a different kind of popular. Wii was popular with people who had no prior interest in games. That made prediction models faulty. Switch is popular with people who are interested in games. Indeed more like traditional Nintendo consoles, only a lot faster. A better comparison is probably Nintendo DS.
Nope.
Nintendo doing the best the can with the hand their delt with.
Too many other companies with just as much clout in the tech space need the flash storage.
Which is a damn shame. You gotta wonder what the sales numbers would be at right now if they had the stock to back up the hype.
That being said, a little scarcity (especially when it's not artificial) can go a long way.

Thanks man! Will talk about this store to him so he can check it for me.Still looking for one here. But I talked to someone at a Best Buy in Davenport and they said they'll have stock Sunday.
Now this is hard to believe as they are doing to get a Switch cause stock sells out so quickly in Japan.

The Netherlands.Are you kidding me
4 months on with the Wii launch and it was impossible to find a Wii. I don't know what planet you were on.
Local gamestop had 2 Switches when I picked up my copy of Cave Story. May be worth calling for those that are looking.
