When I first purchased the DS (launch day), I almost immediately regretted it. I thought that this was nothing more than a gimmick system that would get stomped out overnight by the PSP.
Shortly after I got a PSP, and sold off the DS. Long story short, PSP was all hype. I mean, it was cool and all, and it had so many features, but there were no games. Months after I had got it, the only triple game was Lumines, and there was nothing on the horizon. And I'm sorry, but why would i pay 25 dollars for a UMD movie when i can buy the FULL DVD for five dollars less? So I sold it off, and have no regrets. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday when it'll be more to me than a paperweight.
With Nintendo's recent wi-fi announcement, coupled with the DS' amazing lineup of games coming out/already out, I decided to take the plunge once more and picked up another DS today.
Let me tell you... I think so much more highly of this system now. I got Castlevania DS along with it and it's awesome. I'll probably pick up advance wars DS within the next few days.... and most importantly, Im totally pumped for Animal Crossing DS, which mark my words will be absolutely amazing with its wi-fi features.
To be honest, I think what first put me off to the DS was that horrible Mario64 port. The controls just didnt feel right to me no matter what setting I used, and after that I just didn't give anything else a try.
DS- nice to have you back
