Very likely.

I've had SP2 installed since it was available and I haven't had any problems with it. AFAIK, nothing has changed about it so I don't see how it's any "safer" to install now than when it was released. Nothing has changed and it's not SP2a.

If it seems safer, it's because the vocal minority that bitched and moaned about SP2 finally shut up about it.

Yeah, I got tired of hitting cancel on the auto update every fucking day, so I installed it and have had no problems. It does some of the networking shit better, or at least more streamlined. XP still blows, but SP2 does the trick. I think the horror stories are just the same idiots who fuck up all the time. PEACE.
