So Pirates 5 : Dead Men Tell No Tales/Salazar's Revenge is out next week, any hype?

Really liked the first 3.

Then the 4th rolled around and everyone said it was crap, so I never really bothered, saw it on TV the other night and didn't mind it at all.

Will see this one when it hits bluray.

Kind of wish the whole Will Turner and Elizabeth characters were still around though.

I've got some news for you

The 4th movie was awful. I had zero interest in this new one and didn't even know it was coming so soon... But some of the positive comments have me curious.

Just watched it and really liked it. It's the movie the (bad) fourth movie should have been. Nice conclusion to the first three movies and Salazar was a really good villain :)

Does it leave things open? There has been mixed word on whether or not this was meant to be the final movie or if it was the beginning of a new trilogy.

Wow didnt know Rotten was so important to some people i guess. Cant you decide your own decision from trailers etc?

who cares how much it gets in Rotten ffs Thor 2 has what %70 on that site lol

And Thor 2 is a much better film than Pirates 2, 3, and 4 are.

Pirates 2 is a disjointed mess of convolution which the 3rd one suffered from in having to pick up all the pieces and try and make something out of them.

Before On Stranger Tides released, I bought the trilogy on Blu-ray to recap, and, after enjoying re-watching the original in one go, we had to split up the second and third installments between multiple nights, because it was putting our group to sleep after 30-40 minutes of watching. By the time we finished the third, we weren't even hyped for the 4th anymore.

We went to see it opening night, with lowered hype and expectations from the "marathon," and it still managed to come up short.
