So... Returnal releases tomorrow on PC. Who's getting it?

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy Sony games on PC, but generally speaking PC gamers don't hype Sony games as much as Playstation gamers... and releasing a game 2 years later is kind of a downer. By then the hype/magic is gone.
If the "hype slash magic" is gone after a mere 2 years then I have to wonder why the game ever mattered in the first place.

As much as I bitched about Returnal PC, after disabling ray tracing, I'm back to loving this game. And I have it on PS5. Technical issues aside, this really is a masterclass. I LOVE the music, art design, world etc. So. Damn. Good.

I still remember when Rise of Tomb Raider released a year later on Playstation then Xbox and PC, and the hype/magic was gone by then. Most Playstation gamers claimed they wouldn't purchase the game.

I am not getting the game :( I realy hate that i am starting all over again when i die. Apparently this kind of games are not for me.

But you're not really starting all over again. You create permanent shortcuts to the next biomes, plus you permanently upgrade weapons etc. Please don't miss out, - this game rocks.

Really? I found one machine gun, but when i died i only had a gun. Do i have to find it again?

Yes, you lose everything every time you die (except for Ether), BUT weapon upgrades etc are permanent, so the weapons you find will keep getting more and more powerful (if you use them enough).

It dawned on me that this is pretty much a AAA Risk of Rain 2, is it?
Just picked up RoR2 since so many people compare them. It certainly looks cool so if it's even half as good I'll be happy.

Thoroughly enjoying Returnal on PC. Resolution updates and RT gives it a fresh look even if it doesn't run too well on Deck 1. Game is so freak'in addicting. Hours go by like they are nothing! Gives me the feels having it in my permanent library next to its big brother Nex Machina.

God I love Nex Machina, and everything Housemarque has ever done. I know I'll enjoy Returnal when I get it.

Even if Returnal doesn't run well on Deck, Risk of Rain 2 does. So best of both worlds!

Loving this shit. It's pretty fast, but I hope it gets faster?
4k/60FPS everything maxed, minus RTX, all that shit is off. 60FPS locked. Solid, big dick performance. I haven't experience the stutters that some are experiencing and this is "out of the box"

Every time I try thinking about which is better between Nex Machina and Returnal I wake up 10 min later slumped over on the floor. Seriously, you're going to love Returnal. Wear a headset and play with a Dualsense controller.

One developer is working on converting Returnal to VR. I will play the living hell out of that if it ever surfaces. Imagine it will play something like Serious Sam VR but with 1000x better graphics and atmosphere.

Just fired up my PS5 Returnal to compare to Returnal on my 13700K/4090. Dear lord. It's so blurry on the PS5... I guess that's 1080p/60 medium settings vs 4K/160fps Epic settings for you. Crumbs.
