I don't see why people keep bringing up Teen Titans Go! when that show at least has Darkseid voiced by Weird Al and is self-aware enough to recognize that people's disdain comes from it using the designs from a much beloved DC animated series. Taken on its own, it's an average show, albeit one that suffers from the issue of "why would I watch this when I could be watching the original show?" The same can't be said for the new Powerpuff Girls because it has no redeeming qualities that I could see one watching it for: The animation is subpar, the writing is weak (if not, outright transphobic garbage) and the voice acting is a far cry from the original. That said, I am, in retrospect, glad they didn't cast the original trio (Strong, Daily, Cavandini) because the material they'd have to work with doesn't lend itself well to a good overall show for youths or any funny jokes for adults to pick up on. There's little to no comedic timing and what can qualify as a properly timed joke comes across more as a slap in the face to one's intelligence. The only good that I can see it doing at this point is getting people to check out the original show, an actually funny parody and simultaneous love letter to classic superheros.
