In a follow-up to my other post yesterday, what do you think of this case? I stumbled upon it and want some opinions. I've read reviews and they all seems to think it's rock solid. The only problem with it is that the drive bay doors don't exactly work in sync so you end up having to manually close them which doesn't bother me.
This case also looks like it would help keep dust out more. My current case is THIS Super Flower case. It's probably one of the greatest cases ever, but I swear the thing is a dust magnet!

I built a PC with that exact case, in fact I'm looking at it right now. It's an excellent case and I've recommended it in every "what case should I get?" thread since I built my PC.

The side access panel means it takes about 2 seconds to get inside the PC if you need to, it looks great, and the door covers don't catch on the drives like the review said they do. It comes with a great power supply and is cheap. It's pretty much the perfect case.

All are super fugly, but the Antec and the Coolermaster ones are at least decent in build quality and materials. The first one is just a shitty plastic junk (ran across it at Frys).

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated

I'll use this opportunity to pimp my favorite case yet again. The Coolermaster Praetorian has that simple aethetics appeal I like and is extremely well-designed, has loads of room inside, and has smart airflow working for it. It's a great case and you can find it for about $100 online these days.

Shiny big LED lights = Meh, I'm trying to sleep. I like the one with power, usb and audio on the corner like that.

Yeah I don't get the whole "neon glow" thing. It's fugly. The more simple the design, the better. IMO anyway.

I've always been a Coolermaster fanboy, but that Lian-Li V1000 is soooo beautiful.

And I don't like the recent Coolermaster cases as much as the old ones.

Yeah man. I'm definitely getting the V1000B or V1200B as my next case.

If you don't want glowing LED lights, don't connect the LED power connectors to the motherboard. And it IS made out of plastic, but it's certainly not junk. Best case I've ever had.

BTW, you guys like some pretty ugly cases.

(sorry for my late reply)

Bah! Someone should do a psychological study because whenever someone posts a case, every one else thinks it's ugly. =P

Anyway, I don't like cases with windows on the side or cases that have glowing fans or those UV lights inside. And I especially don't like cases that have a front bezel that makes it look like a transformer. :lol

What I like in a case is something that is semetrical and built solid so that it looks just like one shape. Something that is sleek and professional looking, but at the same time doesn't look like a modder's wetdream(you know, temperate LCDs on the front along with all sorts of other shyt).

So, in short, I guess something that would look much like something a mac would be housed in. :lol

PC cases that look like college art student sculpture = meh!

I agree. I'd like more 'lifestyle' cases. I want a desktop PC to complement my laptop, but the cases are ug-lee. If I don't find a nice one, I'll have to hide it in a cupboard or something.

I'm surprised noone has done an imac style white laquer case.

Well, be glad you get one with the case. Most aluminum cases just leave the slot open. Lian-Li provided one optical drive slot with the case and you can always buy more at the retailers.

Another thing I like about this case is the positioning of the components. The PSU is at the bottom, the motherboard is turned upside down and againt the other side (BTX like) and all for the sake of good airflow. Loads of space for harddrives and it looks somewhat like a G5. Shame about the price though :/

That lian li is honestly just a poor man's Power Mac G5

But the whole cheese grater concept is a pretty ugly design aesthetically.

If I had one... it would match with my ikea waste basket really well.

OMG, once you get this case you realize just how good it is. Thumb screws, sleek design, very cool running, several quiet fans, plenty of room, very sleek without looking chunky or ugly.

I seriously have no clue what case to get. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. No case seems to do everything right. To be safe the PC-65 by Lian Li seems the best bet. Still $100+ without a power supply isn't cheap.

You've got that ass backwards. The G5 case is the idiot cousin of the Lian Li case, with 1 fucking optical bay and 2 pathetic hard drive bays. A full tower that's barely more functional than the iMac case! Way to go Apple!

I do mean aesthetically.

Both you and I can agree that as far as functionality goes Apple products are pretty poor.

I actually prefer the Lian Li easthetically as well. I hate the handles on the G5 case. Makes it look like a bent metal orgamy project. The V1200 looks nice and monolithic without the handles. Dig the solid billet looking wheels of 'luminum also.

Dude, I'm absolutely convinced that if Apple built a device that gave orgasms at the press of a button, you'd find something to complain about. :p

(Not saying I'm a huge fan of their current cases either, just, you know...)

Shit, I hate Sony more than Apple, but I'm buying PSP over the DS. The point is, if the product rocks, I'll give props. G5 case is far far from rocking, and if subjectives like aesthetics is only thing it's got going for it, forgettaboutit~.
