A web browser or any other updates to the functionality of the PSP seem to be low on Sony's list of priorities right now.
Unless someone can tell me different, it appears that the pecking order looks like this:
1. Keep throwing out security update patches to keep homebrew and other apps off the system. (1.52 patch just came out in Japan so it will probably be here in the next 2 weeks)
2. Keep pimping UMD movies at every opportunity since it seems to be their new cash cow.
3. Get around to releasing some games at the latter half of the year.

15. Work on that browser and other apps to increase the PSP functionality.
At least I have Hot Shots Golf for now. It keeps telling me to fool myself into believing I needed a PSP at launch.
