When going to pay for my PSP yesterday, I saw it in the store... love the box art. Girlfriend was also interested in trying it out... So, what's the verdict? I remember hearing rather negative impressions of the Japanese version, but I heard some of the biggest problems (low frame rate) were ironed out for the US release...

I don't know about the PSP version but let me tell you to never approach the PS2 version!
I tried it on the lastest OPM demo and it sucks hard. Only the art look good. Framerate is very low and gameplay looks like a free for all hack and slash without any strategy.
Dust back your SNES and plug Secret of Mana or buy Ys6 on the PS2...

not that i've read the text of any of the recent reviews, but the scores are on the mark. the game like DEFINES 6/10. assuming you like the aesthetics and stuff. the soundtrack blows, the story is boring, and the gameplay is simplistic (but kind of addictive.) add in slowdown and you have an ... OK game. $20 4 life
