Bad?

This is a pretty deceptive thread imho.

The company has stopped development efforts into wlan chips. It says nothing about the ds.

Isn't that chip in NDS? I am sure RF Micro Devices makes chips for NDS.

You forgot the amendment to the Press Release about how they're going to retroactively discontinue all hardware by activating the self destruct command wirelessly to all chips, causing all sorts of mini explosions and pops around the country.

:lol

"I was playing the DS and the damnedest thing happened today. There was a loud pop and now there's this gaping hole on the bottom of the system and it won't power on anymore."

Come on now. It is not a sony.

The article says it's going to (FUTURE TENSE) discontinue chipset development efforts.

The artile DOES NOT mention that it will discontinue supplying whatever it is they supply to current WLAN-technology customers (Nintendo among them)

It directly says "The Company will continue to support its WLAN component business, which includes its transceivers for gaming and other applications", so I'm pretty sure that means they'll continue to produce the DS' WiFi chipset.

Well he certainly didn't continue reading as far as the second sentence. I mean, hello, it specifically mentions continued support for it's existing gaming products.

so the purpose of the post was for us to pick up on the fact that

a) you didn't bother reading it but linked it here for use to read it for you?

b) the faint suggestion that NDS is doomed?

I never read any of the news I post, just the titles. Too time consuming.
