Software for Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen NX....Alternatives to Notmad?

I would love to have Notmad but I don't have $30 to spare right now for the fully functional version. I've been searching and can't seem to find any other alternatives but I know there is always something out there that someone on GAF knows about, so I thought I'd ask real quick.
