Some Playstation Experience games and developers announced

Maybe a weird question but do we know for sure whether or not new games will be announced?

We do not, the trailer for the event says "exciting new announcements" that could be announcements for games that are already announced, like a release date or beta release etc.

Keeping expectations in check, but I think there is a good chance most of these will be at the event

- The Last Guardian
- Team Buddies 2
- Medievil: Dia del Dan
- The Great Ape Escape
- Tomba 3!
- Jet Motorstorm
- Omega Boost: Alpha
- Crash Bandicoot
- Dino Crisis 3
- Onimusha Shogun

I'm not getting hyped at all, but I'll be outraged if there's anything less than:

-Crash Bandicoot reboot
-Savage Starlight
-The Legend of Dragoon 2
-Dark Cloud 3
-Primal 2
-Parappa the Rapper reboot
-Drakan 3
-Colony Wars reboot
-G-Police 3
-Guerrilla Games' robo-dino RPG
-New Alundra game on Vita
-New games from London Studio, Japan Studio, Bend, Media Molecule, Giant Sparrow, Polyphony (not GT) and Santa Monica
-And to finish with, The Last Guardian free on PS+ to say sorry for its delay

Just entered the thread for the first time. I see the party is already on full blast.

One hypetrain ticket please.

You forgot Shenmue 3, Half-Life 3, and Final Fantasy VIII remake - also Syphon Filter reboot, Medievil, Wipeout revival, and Street Fighter 5.

Also, Metal Gear Solid 1 remake in Fox Engine - as per Stereogatari's lovely suggestion.

That's not asking too much, is it?

I remember reading ages ago on here about some rumour that an indie dev was making a new Parappa... I think maybe the guys that made Kickbeat, was it?

Did I imagine this, or was it just wishful thinking on someone else's part way earlier in the year?

Yes, he who shall not be named said that an indie developer was given a Parappa sequel for PS4 - they sure are keeping quiet if that's the case.

Really? I thought it was a pretty logical choice for them bringing a Ultra Street Fighter IV Definitive Edition for ps4.

Looking at it again, he didn't rule it out, but it doesn't seem likely. He also doesn't seem to be trolling with this comment

Wow, haven't seen this name in awhile. Sadly the original developer of that series is dead now. They went under thanks to Midway and that "This is Vegas" game, which was never released.

Yeah; I loved Drakan: TAG on PS2, but never played either of The Suffering games and thought This Is Vegas looked fairly bad. Was pretty sad when they went under, but not surprised as Midway were a terrible publisher. I think they were briefly part of Warner before being quietly killed off.

A real shame though that Drakan never got the recognition it deserved. There's so much I loved about TAG, and a sequel making a few small improvements could have been amazing.

It makes me think of a thread from not too long ago that asked which games would've done better had them been released in a different generation. It's a game that just kinda got lost because there really weren't many popular games out there like it at the time, so people didn't know how to market it.

Unless they're working on multiple projects, all odds are against this. They're working on Gran Turismo 7.

It'd be neat if that new CyberConnect2 project is something collab'd with SCE Japan Studio. Or if Sony and Level-5 are working together again on something new. Or if Level-5 pulls an Ni no Kuni and brings Yokai Watch to console on PS4. Unlikely but... I still remember when Yokai Watch was a console (probably PS3) game.

This would make me very happy

That image never ceases to amaze me.

Too bad Level 5 is a handheld mobile developer now, you can stop dreaming :(

This place always falls for the hype. Don't you ever learn? :(

Gamescom and TGS delivered big time.

I really see no reason not to get hyped. This is a major event and Sony will have the stage and headlines all to themselves. They have stated they will be showing things they probably shouldn't.

Hell I'm hyped that The Witness will be playable there. Can't wait to see how that one turns out.

Oh doubtful one, enter the hallowed halls of SCE WWS and gasp at the illimuninating beauty of the secrets that Shuhei hides with glee.

Our time shall come, our experience will rise above the ashes of the driving club and we shall be inundated with vast quantities of gaming riches.

.......or, we will get a new trailer for The Order: 1886.

You know what? I would gladly take a new The Order trailer if it showcased some of those sweet soft body physics that they touted early on.

Sony bought the Shadow Hearts IP and formed a new studio made up of all the people that made Covenant to make a sequel. You heard it here first.

Oh Shredderi, your wish will most likely come to pass. Our minds will Wipeout with excitement, our sanity will Crash with the sheer magnitude of announcements, Half of our Life will at Last feel redundant after witnessing the shining Guardian who will rise from above the divine splendor of the Venetian Hotel, and our Final thoughts will close with a Fantasy yet to be awoken.

......Or once again, we will get a new trailer for an already announced game.

Ummm... Well you know, I'm glad to hear that. We'll no doubt get new trailers for some already announced games.

Well CyberConnect2 did say they had hope to show off their huge project end of the year so here's hoping. Again, I'm also hoping to see an announcement of Cygames PS4 game too. Those two titles alone would make it an amazing PSX event for me coupled with the dev's we already know that will be there.

Wait CC2 might show a new Game? Don't hype me even more dude

Stop it! Just stop!
You know it´s a Final Fantasy VII remake, not Final Fantasy VIII!

Playstation Awards on December 3rd.
They have teased some kind of announcement but it won't be as big as the PS Experience event.

Guessing that day the really heavy japanese stuff is going to get announced, and probably some news from Studio Japan

You know what I would like to see? Syphon Filter but made by Obsidian as a spiritual sequel to Alpha Protocol whilst bringing Logan back at the same time.
