Still Generations...one of my favorites alongside Colors. If they don't screw up, which most often than not, maybe I will give it a chance. But boy, adding Shadow to Generation did turn things cringe edgy.

It's sad that Shadow have this amazing backstory and lore, and Sonic is just.... Sonic.

I didnt play the game, but Shadow as character is great.

Well Sega has completely neutered Shadow's character anyway. According to the IDW writers, they weren't allowed to depict him as anything other than a knockoff Vegeta who cares only about fighting.

That being said, it did look good and adding Shadow is a interesting choice, I kinda wish we got a Fat/retro version of him as well, that would be pretty fun
 
You never played Generations? It's a great Sonic game dude

I recommend people buy it on the Xbox store before it gets removed because it's already 4k/60. Everyone hates on Sonic but they can be some of the most fun games ever as long as you can push past some frustration that comes with the inevitable cheap deaths.

Just thought about this. I wonder what the odds on getting Mephiles as the '06 boss fight are? Or maybe as a Rival fight.

High, since almost everything from 06 is ridiculous in a funny way, basically a meme. Also Crysis City is in this game.

I think Generations has a really poor selection of levels to begin with.

They should've just ripped the Unleashed day stages out and added them to Generations.

Funny thing,Shadow had already a 2 second cameo in Generations

I guess Sonic Generations is one of the better recieved modern games, adding Shadow levels along with the new movie sounds like a smart move the fanboys will go crazy
 
Really bizarre to bring back elements from the Shadow The Hedgehog game, I figured they'd want to just brush that under the rug. But I guess even Sonic 06 got a level in generations so why not. I'm interested to see how much new content there actually is.

As a boss sure...like other freakos like Silver. And I agree, as I said before Colors and Generations are one my top modern Sonic games.
But it was a smart move, taking into account that Shadow will be present on the next Sonic movie.
 
Of all the games they could remaster they chose the least deserving one... I like generations but Unleashed, Rush, Riders and Storybook series games could also use PC ports.

I hope this is not Sonic Colors Ultimate all over again because that game is a tragedy. Never got fixed.

I loved Sonic Generations. Even the 3DS port. This announcement is cool, but it should be priced accordingly. Sonic Generations has been going for $5-$10 on XBLM, and Steam. I Would not pay more than $30 for this.
 
Saw comparison video and it's a straight port without any obvious visual upgrades. They added Shadow so you pay again like a sucker. It's almost a certainty at this point that Sega hates Sonic.
 
Nice! Most people now like Shadow. The generation that grew up with SA2 is older so should not hear as much whining about Shadow these days. Cool character. Is it levels from SA2 or his game?

On PC there is a mod that not only adds most of the Unleashed day levels to Generations, but also makes sure that they work properly with Generations' physics.

It pretty much makes the game feel like Super Sonic Generations.

Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is basically a straight port with a side game added (all the Shadow content including stages is new), this is literally exactly the same thing, the fuck kind of double standard is this lol.

Additionally there was confirmation that new content is being added to Generations, but how much is yet to be seen. Its a game thats stuck on either PS3/360 hardware (also BC though) and the PC port is super picky with modern systems, as long as its priced decently its perfectly fine.

And you can't even say "OH WELL MARIO IS MUCH BETTER LUL" because Generations is great, its one of the best 3D games easily.

I don't remember the last time I pick a Sonic game.

Maybe since Sonic Mania. If this everything works fine and the quality of the remaster is decent, who knows. But I still trying to figure out what went wrong with Sonic Colors.

Sonic Colors is a great game and a simple remaster shouldn't be an obstacle AT ALL.
 
Sonice Generations was great but I asked for DLC for it over 10 years ago. I would expect a sequel, not a bundle with shadow dlc...
