Sons of Anarchy - Season 6 - Tuesdays on FX

This might come out the wrong way but the school shooting really needs to be given more attention. There needs to be more fallout. We need to see the Sons actually care that a gun they distributed was used in the tragedy. We need to see people in Charming turning against them a bit.

Right now I kind of hate the club for how they're dealing with this. But again, I think we're supposed to feel that way and I don't think Sutter is going to let them off the hook.

Sutter really hasn't written competent law enforcement that wasn't either corrupt or on drugs since season 2. I really wonder who's worse, the law in Dexter or Sons.

Goddamn there is too much meaningless violence on this show and I'm getting really bored with it.

The Lee Toric character is such a waste of Donal Logue.

Sadly I kind of agree. Does Sutter want us to intensely dislike him?

The bottle scene was just too much, especially after he killed the prostitute.

As a one man army I find it hard to believe he has so much pull with law officials. The guy is nuts!

Definitely a waste of Logue. The weirder he gets, the less interesting to me, though some of his actions are interesting.

What's Wendy gonna do with that gun? I had a feeling that was all a fake play, but not sure where it's going.

I'm thinking that Wendy still wants to get the kids out of the sphere of the club's influence. Wild guess - she shoots up Jax's house as a way of trying to demonstrate to a court that the kids aren't safe with him.

Not really liking this season. And this is coming from someone that hasn't been bored with the show, and has thought it was one of the most consistent shows on TV. This is not to say that it doesn't have poor writing, because it does. But overall, I mostly enjoyed every single season of the show. And considering how long it's been on, I never felt that it was ON TOO LONG - like most shows feel once they get to their 5th and 6th season.

But yeah, I'm really starting to feel that with this one. Thankfully, the next season is the last one. AndI have hope that this season will get better in the second half, when they set the stage for the final run of episodes.

I'm growing weary of SoA. They're heaping so much violence and misery onto everyone that I'm getting numb to it.
Lol. Hopefully we can get you back to Glenn before next season of MM.

I'm always open to new super awkward photos. Although I guess it will be hard to find something more awkward than RobOface.

im kinda just rooting for clay to escape prison and take out the sons at this point

although I can't say I agree, I don't even blame you. I'm passed the whole "Clay needs to die phase" because that ended like 2 seasons ago, and they keep putting in swerves to keep him alive. If he dies, I won't even care because it'll be meaningless by that point.

Just like how Jax doesn't give up Tig after he's responsible for the death of Opie, but hands him over for what I assume is killing the Iranian dude and lying about it. This show is just so unbelievable I find myself not caring about it anymore.

Nothing has any meaning anymore. A forced school shooting for the sake of being controversial (because evidently no one on the show gives a shit about it) and Logue being overly violent for no reason other than trying to top Spartacus in the "unnecessary violence" category.

Jax gave up Tig for killing Pope.

At this point I wouldn't mind someone killing Jax.

That she didn't go to Tara makes me wonder if they are in cahoots.

How? The murder was put onto Clay. That guy only wanted him dead because Pope wanted him dead.

maybe I missed something last night. I wasn't really paying attention.

Yeah, but Tig also
killed Opie's wife (thinking it was Opie himself, and on Clay's orders)
a few seasons back.

Pope's no. 2 knows the Clay thing is bullshit. He pretty much said so last season. He's going along with it because he wants to do business with the Sons and because Pope dying got him the keys to the kingdom, but Tig still has to die.

They still want to kill him for what he did to Pope's daughter.

Yep, this is correct. I'm sure there are other underlying reasons, but the debt owed was burning Tig's daughter and then Tig getting brutalized in jail for the rest of his life. Since he beat the jail rap, that didn't make Tig exempt from the revenge Pope wanted him to suffer.

What sucks for Tig is that he committed the murders of Opie's wife and Pope's daughter (collateral damage for his true target) in part because of his intense loyalty to Clay. Tig doesn't just kill people to kill them. He's got some crazy Tig justice moral code that he abides by which causes him to go off the deep end.

I agree with the other poster who said he's getting weary of SOA because of the misery. I got hooked because it was an organized crime show with good bits of dark humor and fun. The fun has almost completely disappeared from the show. I suppose it was a natural progression because the MC is getting into deeper and deeper trouble, but I miss the funny parts.

Welcome to the club.

I actually wants happening to Clay now.
I don't think they'll kill Tig.

Getting tired of this Montage with music ending. This is not Gray's Anatomy

I agree with some of the posts made that the violence is really getting ridiculous, with no real rhyme or reason to it other than just to show more senseless violence. I don't really mind the school shooting, as I mentioned earlier as long as in the end they can tie it in to everything in a satisfying way. But so much just seems to be there.

The sad thing is there appear to be some very interesting threads this season, in particular Barosky and his dealings. But it's all lost in this mismash - aside from the violence, there also just seem to be too many things going on all at the same time and its hard to focus on anything. There's Toric, Claudette and the school shooting; the aforementioned Barosky and Joanie stuff; the general Nero/club relationship; Tara's pregnancy and divorce plans; Wendy's sudden, bizarre plot; the general machinations of Clay; the Irish and the guns lurking in the background; the tying up of the loose 'Pope' threads; the general machinations of Gemma; the persian beef which will resurface I imagine (no pun intended) and Bobby's random nomad adventures. It's just a huge amount of plot shit to shove into episodes, as well as still having some time with the characters themselves - Black Cop guy is back and doing stuff all of a sudden for example. Would anyone really be surprised if 'Cartel shit' popped up for an episode or two at this point?

Sure, some of this stuff may be wrapped up or brought together very quickly but at the moment it's far too much to keep a focused show, even if individually there are plenty of interesting ideas.

Good episode. The bottle scene was horrifying as was Peter Weller's sex face. That's going to haunt me for some time. Also not surprised to see Clay survive to live another day. As much as I want to see him die, the show would undeniably be worse off without him.

And Tig, can't begin to describe how happy I am that he's finally about to get his comeuppance. Took long enough, will be a joy to witness next episode....unless they pull some Dexter level shit and see him take them all down and emerge unscathed.

wow. I didn't realize they had that many different arcs going on at the same time. I knew it was a lot, but seeing it listed makes it seem more ridiculous

Not that I disagree with your points about the show getting convoluted with all the different story threads, but Roosevelt is the head of the Sheriff Department so a quick shot of him responding to a dead body isn't necessarily a superfluous thing. He's going to have to deal with the Sons and his role in implicating Clay soon enough.

When Clay started fighting back, I actually yelled NO at my television, because I thought that was what was going to happen.

At least he got a little scathed. I agree that Perlman brings a lot to the show, but it really feels like reaching, keeping him alive. I'm torn.

Fucking Bobby, keeping Clay alive last season with his false sense of moral superiority.

Bobby is a scumbag murderer just like the rest of the Sons. He was an idiot for voting against Clay meeting Mr. Mayhem, thinking that he could somehow stop Jax from becoming him.

What Bobby didn't realize was that for all the shit Clay pulled, he needed to die. Keeping him alive is a threat to the club.

Don't think they'll kill Tig. And the one of the things bothering me is the fact that Bobby wants to go Nomad. Ok, but... why ? What's the point, it just doesn't seem relevant.

Other than that, the show starts feeling a lot like the last two seasons of the shield... don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Not really feeling this season so far. I'm really tired of the ten minute music montages at the end of every episode.

Yep those are awful. I cringe every time one starts.

I also wish that SAMCRO could have an adversary for once that the show didn't go out of its way to make a completely evil scumbag.

Lee Toric would be so much more interesting if he wasn't a completely corrupt scumbag. I mean, he's a drug addict who we've already seen forge something, torture people, accidentally kill someone, cover it up, and now plant evidence.

Hey Sutter, your fictional MC is a bunch of fucking worthless scumbags and I'm sure there are plenty of decent people who would want to take them down. That might be an actually interesting plot to watch for once instead of the typical SAMCRO's bad, but their adversary is even worse moral cowardice that the show constantly advances.

Of course they won't kill Tig. They'll make up some shit like August or whatever his name is was just testing Jax to see if he'd really give him up or something. Or August will let Tig live if he keeps tabs on the Sons or something.

Yep. It's an afternoon soap opera, only with guns and leather jackets.
