Sony announces PS4 Pro, $399, November 10th

i didnt know Microsoft promised all games to be updated with Scorpio but it would be very surprising if that was the case.

Oh, wait. See? I might have misunderstood. I thought they were saying the games wouldn't be able to play on the system. They were just talking about upgrading them to the new standard. Thanks for clarifying.

Jeff Rigby was right?

This can't be happening. Jeff Rigby is supposed to be the Xanadu of the fourms. Spouting stuff so high, that we can't comprehend, and dismiss him as jibberish.

People seems so disappointed I the livestream thread. What were people expecting/thinking? It's an incremental hardware upgrade that plays the same library. Why in the world would people be excessively hyped.

Great price. $399. Will buy.

EDIT: Design is so similar to OG PS4, you have to wonder if people will be scalping potential buyers during the holidays for those who are unaware of what the console really is.

I wish there was focus on making this a monster 1080p console instead of focusing on 4k, which only limited numbers of people will be able to enjoy and with all the performance problems 1080p poses on the standard PS4. But I guess Sony wants to sell more tvs and doesn't want to crap on the standard PS4's 1080p capabilities publicly.

But it's still a wasted opportunity to make something great.

the fuck? So those pics were real. Absolutely hate that design. From one weird gap to two now?

Great price, day one.

$399 and november 10th. they got those two things right.

but the focus on 4k and HDR means all of us will have to spend another $1000 to actually see the benefits. i was really hoping they would add enhancements to 1080p titles like better AA, AF and 60 fps.

Very disappointed.

I watched that whole thing and still can't really tell why I'd want a Pro unless I had a 4K TV. Is there any reason?
