Hmmm...Maybe it was on another planet, but didnt Sony start shipping the PS2 with Network Adapter pre-installed since E3.

So let's see shipping a somewhat bulky add-on with a product now equals redesigning that product with the add-on now built in?

Damn I learn new shit every day.

Was it actually physically attached to the PS2 in the new boxes or was it just packed in to the new boxes before the redesign? That part I honestly don't know.

EDIT:
According to a friend who is a Gamestop mgr it was only packaged in the box, not pre-installed. Yes now let's argue over the definition of pre-installed.

they did but that ATV2+NA bundle got snatched up very quickly after it dropped to $149, the only model most people could find since the summer was the standalone PS2 model

btw Darien I bought that ATV2 bundle, the NA came preinstalled
