MS so need it. They are massive losing the place in EU market.

Sony just walk to the park like always. They can reannounce and will still popular, even wishful fans or haters will move on few days later to find something news.

bloodborne gameplay (of course)
rime gameplay
new order gameplay
Mm or GG trailer but not both
housemarque gameplay trailer
New japanese game (since this rumor is floating)
Updates on some of the Indies we've seen and heard about as well as new ones...always more indies to show.

Oh and ninja theory

VGX was so bad. I don't understand how Geoff couldn't do his magic and get more announcements. Skyrim, DS2, Uncharteds, ME3 and TloU were announced on his stage ffs.

I think Gamescom and TGS will be huge for Sony. They have a lot of projects in the works for 2015 and beyond from their studios. They only announced 1 so far this year @ E3.

No you're not.

Why would Sony being quiet (which is what Sony always tries to do) indicate anything at all? Likewise, why would MS hyping up their presentation (something they always do) mean anything out of the ordinary on that front?

You mean like the hype leading up to E3 and they basically showed the same games we already saw? The savior put on E3 by the media and fans was immense. But nothing really came of it.

Not saying they won't have any new games at gamescom, but them hyping up their conference doesn't mean anything imo.

What about all that hype leading up to this years E3 amounting to essentially nothing? MS are gonna say anything right now.

Well, he's a sensible poster, he's in Europe, Sony has announced a few Japanese games at the event, and we know Japan Studio has more PS4 games in development. Plus the event is around the corner, so people will loosen up :)

I dunno I thought it was pretty justified because they had a pretty terrific show. Strange that a Japanese PS4 game would be shown at GC. I would think they would save that for TGS.

And the statement to be exact was "big surprises you will not want to miss".

Puppeteer and Rain, both SCEJ Studio-developed games were first shown on Gamescom 2012 so...

Don't worry, they'll surely bring TLG, Bloodborne exact release date, and Square Enix will close out the show with a new FFV trailer including the Q2 2015 release date.

He's referring to E3, though that's still pretty crazy.

Gamescom is always a no-contest win to Sony. Microsoft and Nintendo barely even show up most years, though Microsoft are hosting a live stream for the first time this year, so I guess they might finally put some effort in.

Maybe? Unless you specifically ask if he works with the press or ask someone else who saw the invite, we won't know anything.

What does a good poster with no history of trolling gain from lying about this?

EDIT: Keep in mind that all of the known information on games/developers confirmed/hinted to be there were by the developers themselves (or the incomplete Sony list that was removed). The press hasn't said anything. It highly unlikely that we'll get any Twitter/Facebook teases/hints by Japan Studios.

That a pre-E3 tradition now it shall be forgotten until next year when all 3rd party games are potential exclusives for Xbox because reasons

Gamescom has been more exciting than E3 the last couple of years for me. This is when the "B" tier games are announced. The games that are 100% game and are less likely to be an FPS or a Cinematic experience that's easily wows the crowd in trailer form.

I really hope we get some good games on both consoles. I'm excited. :p

I remember when people thought Mirror's Edge 2 was going to be a Xbone exclusive with Kinect only controls.

There's plenty of misunderstanding, misinformation and conceit. Any number of things could make a respectable poster say something that lacks any basis in reality.

I just don't think it's worth putting on a list of evidence towards 'something' being there, because there's absolutely nothing backing it up.

I'm thinking March is too close to The Order. I would not be surprised to see Bloodborne get kicked back to May/June or something as a result.

I can recall this big exclusive was only being treated as such a sure thing before E3 because of so many GAF members with 'inside info' were saying it was definitely a thing.

I'm surprised that nothing came of it tbh. I could have seen them buying up Tomb Raider 2 or something at least.

Gamescon is more about playable demos right? So MS will have um quantum break and sony blood borne. After E3 being predictable and nothing really surprising barring no mans sky/ori (IMO), my expectations are low for this. Maybe TGS will be cool though.

FFXV Q4 2015 Japan release...Q1 2016 US release date. Probably a rehash trailer at TGS with a few new seconds and to expect more news at e32015.. the sad thing is its probably going to be this way Lol
