Thanks for posting this. There seem to be a few interesting videos here (like a PS3 anniversary video going through the PS3's titles). Too bad I don't know Japanese :/

Looking at the comments from the Wild Arms themed video, it seems there'll be a Japan Studio concert on May 3. This seems to have been known since December last year, after a quick Google search, though I think one of the recent videos seems to have a full list of what's there

EDIT: Not so sure if that's actually what's going on in the video, though it seems Wild Arms is showing up at the concert. List of the programme seems to be here.

Kinda unrelated but Sony Japan have done a Music Collection album before. It even had the Japanese Crash Bandicoot theme on it, as well as other games like Alundra, Gran Turismo and Legend of Dragoon.

I think it would be for a new IP. God of War is probably beyond the point of adding MP. Well, at least good MP anyway.

Hmm guess we'll find out in May 3rd, maybe we will get a Wild Arms Reboot mobile gameplay minimum if we're lucky but then again Sony's ForwardWorks is working on that but it does have the original devs so..

Or could just be them having a musical concert like they did with Gravity Rush 2 that one was uploaded on PlayStation Japan channel as far as i remember

Sony will definitely go all out with Spider-Man, Days Gone and God of War when it comes to marketing, there's no doubt in my mind about that. I think Days Gone in particular will be a 'surprise' success ala Horizon.
 
I hope we don't see anything on Days Gone until it's closer to being completed.

I think if you show more now you run the risk of it being drowned out with all the releases coming this year.


I'm not really worried about it. It looks great and the horde chasing you will create some interesting dynamics. Just everything else needs to be fleshed out and I feel it will. Sony is putting a lot of backing behind that title.

Yeah, I really don't think we need to worry about it. The floor will probably be the quality of Sunset Overdrive, but hopefully Insomniac will deliver another superhero classic that can stand alongside Batman: Arkham Asylum.
 
I don't have as much confidance in Insomniac as people here. I mean, it's clear and certain that's gonna be a quality title, the thing i,s in my case, I've never played an Insomniac game that goes beyond A grade or even A. It's like it's this eternally B tier company that lacks something to go higher.

Of course this is personal and I haven't played every Insomniac game but it's like when they announced the game I instantly felt the maximun quality I'm gonna get.

However, the IP could change things and even time could, maybe Insomniac will get it this time or got better, what I mean is that I'm not sure if it'll be the next Arkham tier super hero game and I seriously want that.
 
I wonder if Marvel is treating the Spiderman game the same way as the first Iron man movie: a starting point to break into a new medium. Would be amazing to have different Marvel superhero games made by different devs. Can you imagine a Dr Strange rpg with over the top magic? A Thor game by Platinum?
 
Considering the length of time since Sucker Punch's last game, you would expect a release date shown for their new IP. So when do people here think it's gonna release? What's ideal?

AA is at the top for superhero games. Being on par or surpassing it would be amazing.

They're already doing this. Square is working on Avengers, TellTale has Guardians etc

They're not gonna be connected like the MCU though
 
Spider-Man with a gameplay demo is going to be game of the show at E3. Mark my words. You have a top-tier developer who worked on R&C, Resistance, Sunset Overdrive etc developing a full-budget, AAA game of one of Marvel's greatest superheros. It's going to be amazing.

I love the look of the city. It looks alive, not just 3 or 4 people walking on the sidewalk. The scale looks amazing and the lighting is wonderful. I forced my way through Amazing Spider-Man 2 and it's such bullshit. I don't know what they were thinking making that game.

If there was crime in the city and Spider-man didn't resolve it they would send out attack drones to kill you, like wtf!? You didn't save everyone from the fire? They set up laser traps between the buildings while you swing. Trash karma system, I believe in you though Insomniac!!

Yeah. Spidey will probably be a quality Insomniac title, and I expect Detroit to be a more or less typical David Cage experience, for better or worse (I really liked Beyond, for the record). Days Gone is for sure gonna be the sink or swim game in the lineup, like Horizon.
 
Sony has two very real potential show-stealers this E3: Spider-Man and God of War. I fully expect both to be jaw dropping.

Also Sucker Punch's game ^_^
 
I think another God of War gameplay demo could also steal the show. This will probably be Sony's flagship title for 2018.

Yeah, I thought that was the idea right? Getting this game treated as a first party game with all the quality and care that comes with that status, as a launch pad to making sure that the Marvel logo is associated with quality in the same way as when "Sony Computer Entertainment presents" appears.
